Puppy-Proof Your Home BEFORE They Arrive

You’ve picked up the food and toys.
You’ve bookmarked training videos.
You’ve even picked a name.

But is your home 100% ready?

Here’s what most new dog owners forget:

🐾 Sharp objects on low tables
🐾 Trash cans without lids
🐾 Gaps under fences
🐾 Wires and chargers on the floor
🐾 Chewable shoes left by the door

These small things can turn into big emergencies.

When we brought home Luna, I thought we were ready.
But within one hour she had:

- chewed through a lamp cord
- puked up a sock
- escaped under the backyard gate

All before her first nap.

Here’s what I wish I had done:

🔒 Locked up cords, meds, and cleaners
🛏 Created a calm, secure space with her own bed
🚪 Used baby gates to block off rooms
🦴 Offered safe toys to stop destructive chewing
⏰ Set a routine with walks, feeding, and rest times

It doesn’t take long 30 minutes now avoids weeks of stress.
