One of the biggest questions we get is, “What should I do after therapy?”
The answer is simple… let the horse recover.
That doesn’t always mean standing in a stall. In fact, controlled movement is often one of the best things you can give them. Light turnout, hand walking, or following your veterinarian’s and therapy plan helps keep muscles loose and joints moving.
Don’t forget the basics, either. Fresh water, good hay, proper nutrition, and time to rest all play a huge role in how well a horse recovers. Therapy gives them the tools to heal, but what happens back at the barn is just as important.
Recovery is a team effort. We do our part while they’re here, and good management at home helps carry that progress forward.
Healthy horses aren’t made in one session—they’re built through consistency, patience, and a whole lot of good care. 💙
