Im so lost without you son. Yesterday marked one week since you grew your well deserved wings and left this earth. They say it will get better, but for now, I'm lost without you, numb and heart is crushed. You were my ride or die for the last 14 years. You were always at my side even those last days you were struggling to stand. You were a true loyal companion. You never missed a day of work and always the first one in the truck, ready to be with people, whether it was during our first five years together at the funeral home or our last years together at Strassedog. You brought joy to many families who suffered a loss by working visitations, funerals, and attending arrangement conferences with me. You always gravitated towards those who were struggling the most and were a constant presence and comfort for me during long days and sometimes middle-of-the-night jobs. No matter how late it was, you were always bright-eyed and bushy-tailed, ready to go again the next morning. In our last years together, you were able to relax and work at Strassedog, doing dog things and being around other dogs. You were still the first one out the door and into the truck. I know you loved all our customers and couldn't wait to get over to the shop to see them.I truly believe you were part angel.I want to thank all of our customers through the years. YOU were the reason Jackson lived to 16.5 years. He looked forward to seeing you every day and giving you a greet at the door.

Please Help Simone Find a New home.

Simone is a three-year-old, pure-bred, 110lb Newfoundland. She is very smart (yes, she taught herself how to open the sliding glass doors with her back side). She is very loving (yes, she will lick your face repeatedly every time she drinks her water). She is always excited to meet new hoomans.

From the time I got her at eight weeks old, she had a high energy side. With medication and working with a professional trainer, she learned to calm down, and she became best friends with my other two dogs. But over the past year, her stress levels have started to rise. And unfortunately, it has resulted in incidents with my other dogs. Although it breaks my heart to lose my baby girl, she needs a new home.
