🐾 Meet Ares — our larger-than-life visitor! 🐾

We had the pleasure of seeing this absolutely magnificent Maine C**n at the hospital, and of course we had to document the occasion. 😍

The fluff. The paws. The ear tufts. The SIZE. And that face that says, “Yes, I know I’m fabulous.” 😂

It’s not every day you get to cuddle a kitty who looks like he could double as a small mountain lion! 🦁🐱

Safe to say, Ares was a BIG hit with our team! ❤️

🐾 Meet the Staff Monday 🩺

This week we’re introducing one of our newer veterinarians, Dr. Cortney Loughran! We’re excited to have her as part of the CAH family. 💙

Dr. Loughran has been with us since May and has been such a great addition to our team! She was born and raised in a small town in the Hudson Valley region of New York. She graduated from Iowa State University College of Veterinary Medicine in 2021. Before joining our team, she practiced at another general practice vet in Wakefield, RI.

One of Dr. Loughran’s favorite things about veterinary medicine is that she gets to learn something new every single day.

When she’s not at the hospital, she enjoys traveling, yoga, and hiking. She’s also working on converting a 2010 Ford Transit van into a camper so she can hit the road on new adventures! 🚐🏔️

Dr. Loughran has two pups at home: Annie, a 9-year-old Boxer/Pit Bull mix, and Murphy, a 2-year-old Great Dane/Lab mix. 🐾

Fun fact: Dr. Loughran ran track and was the third leg of her 4x1 relay team. After winning sectionals and qualifying for states… let’s just say senior skip day won out instead. 😅🍻

Be sure to give Dr. Loughran a warm welcome the next time you’re in the hospital!

Ollie would like everyone to know that Dr. DuPerry has spent FAR too much time writing records today and not nearly enough time handing out treats. 😼🧡

Despite his very obvious supervision efforts, the snacks have not magically appeared yet… and honestly, he’s not amused.

Good thing he’s cute enough to get away with the judgmental stare 👀🐾

🐾 Meet the Staff Monday 🩺

This week we’re introducing one of our “newer” veterinarians, Dr. Brenna DuPerry! We are so happy to have her as part of the CAH/SPAH family. 💙

• Dr. DuPerry has been with us since September 2025• She was born and raised in Cranston, RI• She graduated from Tufts School of Veterinary Medicine in May 2024• Her first job as a veterinarian was completing a small animal rotating internship at BluePearl in Massachusetts

One of Dr. DuPerry’s favorite parts of veterinary medicine is educating pet owners and helping them feel empowered and involved in decisions regarding their pet’s care.

Outside of work, she enjoys hiking, reading, working out, and gardening. 🌿📚 She also has a 12-year-old Black Lab named Ruby!

Fun fact: Dr. DuPerry is a huge sports fan — she’s a season ticket holder for the Providence Bruins and says fantasy football draft day is the best day of the year! 🏒🏈

Be sure to say hello to Dr. DuPerry next time you see her around the hospital!
