We are now accepting only 4 registered mares to breed to Tobanos Ransom “Ransom” for the upcoming breeding season!

Ransom is a super well-mannered stallion who continues to prove himself successful in both the Ranch and Hunter pens. He brings together the athleticism, performance ability, trainable mind, and eye-catching style that make him an exciting cross for a wide variety of mares.

With his natural talent and versatility, we believe Ransom has a bright future ahead—and he is already beginning to pass those qualities on to the next generation! He currently has one foal on the ground, who has already exceeded expectations and is showing all the potential for a successful future.

Whether you are looking to produce your next ranch horse, hunter prospect, performance partner, or an athletic all-around prospect, Ransom offers an exciting opportunity to add talent, style, and versatility to your breeding program.

Meet the trainer!

Lucas is the assistant trainer of Mulberry Island Stables!! He is a huge help with all of the daily operations including feeding, care and riding!! With how much I stay gone he is a big help!! He is a rising 7th grader at West Craven High School and can show a ranch horse like nobody's business!! Chances are if your horse comes to us for anything Lucas is playing such a big part of it!! He loves desensatizing horses and is great at it lol!

Meet the Trainer!!!

My name is Wyatt McCoy owner and trainer at Mulberry Island Stables in Cove City NC. I have been riding horses since I was 7 years old and once the horse bug bit me it latched and didn't let go!! I am a 6th generation cattle rancher so I have been around cattle and horses my entire life! I have trained under reputable trainers growing up including the amazing Zoe Staab at Willow Tree Farm and Beverley Obenhaus which are two very dear friends of mine! Mulberry Island Stables is a boarding, training, lesson and beginning the stages of becoming a breeding farm as well we are the training home of the upcoming stallion Tobanos Ransom. I am currently a senior in high school at West Craven High School and I am hoping and praying to attend Veternary School after undergrad to become a Equine and Livestock Veternarian in Eastern North Carolina! We offer training in Ranch, Gaming, Western Pleasure and Hunters!
