Cleanup work party at Patmore Pit, Saturday, June 3, 10AM-2PM

There will be a work party to do general cleanup at Patmore Pit on Saturday, June 3 from 10AM to 2PM. Most of the work will be general cleanup (e.g., brush clearing), but the most urgent need is to fill holes that have been dug in the back field. Several volunteers got started on this last week, but the 1-2 yards of dirt we had only made a dent in this task. We’re hoping to have a large pile of dirt delivered to the back field before Saturday, so if you have them, please bring wheelbarrows and shovels to help fill the holes and make the park safe for our dogs.

Construction at Patmore Pit

Nick Dion, and Eagle Scout candidate from Coupeville, will be starting construction of a covered shelter at Patmore Pit tomorrow, June 24. There will also be one or two days next week that this will be occurring. This is just to let you know that there may be brief periods of time during those days when the large rolling gate by the road will be open to bring in lumber, and there may be construction equipment (e.g., to dig post holes) in use during that time. The park won’t be closed, but please be aware and plan accordingly so that your dogs don’t escape or interfere with the construction.

Can you provide wheelbarrow/rakes/shovels this Saturday April 9 at 10AM at Patmore Pit dog park?

A crew from NAS Whidbey has graciously offered to spread the remaining gravel at the entrance to Patmore Pit, but we need some more wheelbarrows, rakes, and shovels to keep them all busy. If you have any of these items and can bring them to Patmore Pit at 10AM this Saturday April 9, please respond to [email protected]. Thanks in advance for your help.

Work party to spread gravel at Patmore Pit dog park entrance

We are having a work party this Saturday, Feb 20 at 10AM. to spread gravel to fix the muddy and wet spots near the entrance gates. We have 10 yards of gravel to move, but many hands make light work, so we need as many of you that can make it to help get this done quickly. Please meet us at the entrance gates at Patmore Pit, and if you have them, bring shovels, wheelbarrows, rakes, and work gloves. Thanks in advance for helping improve your favorite dog parks!
