Huge Announcement!
One of our talented groomers, Jessica Hertogs, was nominated and won Barkliegh Honors “2025 Up & Coming Groomer Of The Year”.
For those of you who do not know, the Barkleigh Honors is an awards ceremony that recognizes individuals and organizations that have significantly contributed to the professional pet grooming industry from around the world! Often described as the "Oscars of the grooming industry," the ceremony is a highlight of Barkleigh Productions' annual Groom Expo in Hershey, Pennsylvania. The awards are presented at a dinner and multimedia event and include a variety of categories.
The “Up & Coming Groomer Of The Year” award is nominated and voted by the most knowledgeable and respected professional judges in the grooming industry to recognize the competitors, not yet in “Open” (the highest level of grooming competitions), but the judges believe they will be there shortly based of the groomers noticeable talent.
Jessica has gone to multiple grooming competitions this year and has won all of them, including placing over the #1 pointed groomers in the USA and Canada.
We are so proud of Jessica for winning this prestigious award and for everything she has accomplished this year!
Her goals for next year are to go to even more grooming competitions, as she is now an Open level competitor! And work towards being in the top 10 pointed competitive groomers in the USA, achieving her dreams of making “GroomTeam USA”. As well as becoming a Nationally Certified Master Groomer.

Our groomer Kaitlyn competed at All American Grooming Show with her Standard Poodle Zephyr, and she won 1st Place and a Group 3rd in a huge class! She worked so hard and did one of the hardest trims, the Full Continental trim. I’m so proud of her!

Jessica placed 1st on Friday in intermediate Wire Class with Brooks the Irish Terrier who is one of our clients. On Saturday she placed 1st in Intermediate AOPB Class AND 1st in Group with her Kerry Blue Terrier Crowley. That night they were up for Best In Show in a very competitive line up. They didn’t win Best In Show but received great complements from everyone. Jessica is now an Open Level competitor (the highest level in grooming competitions) and will be competing for the first time in Open in two weeks at Groom Expo Hershey PA!
