We are located on a vast expanse of land in Council Bluffs, Iowa, where we are able to offer horseback riding and accommodations for your group event. We have 300 acres of wooded trails for you to ride on, with 20 gentle horses ready to help you enjoy the breathtaking scenery of our property. We are able to provide a variety of services to our guests, including:

• Horseback rides
• Hayrack rides

• Private campfires

We specialize in hayrack rides, and can accommodate large groups. We can take you on a scenic hour hayride through our property, then drop you off at your private campfire where you can party, cook food and socialize under the stars. Since we opened in the fall of 1965, Shady Lane Ranch has become a treasured tradition for families and friends. Whether it is a horseback ride on a beautiful summer day, or sitting by the bonfire on a calm fall evening, it is our mission to provide an amazing outdoor experience to all of our guests. In just a 15-minute drive out of the city, you will find yourself surrounded by the most beautiful woodlands that the Omaha/Council Bluffs area has to offer!

Our amazing staff, gentle horses, industry experience, and over 360 acres of gorgeous, serene wooded trails are sure to make your outdoor adventure one to remember. Every year our staff looks forward to leading trail rides throughout the summer and fall months, along with hayrack rides in the fall.

We take great pride in making Shady Lane Ranch a top outdoor adventure, and for over 50 years we have continued to grow and improve our ranch to ensure our visitors have an incredible experience.
