The sound of your paws coming closer.
The way you looked at me like I meant everything to you.
The quiet comfort of knowing I was never alone.

Now the house feels different.
Too quiet.
Too empty in a way I can’t really explain.

I keep moving forward… because I have to.
But a part of me is still there—
right where I lost you.

And maybe missing you like this isn’t something that needs fixing.
