When the gaze says ‘loyal pup’ but the tail says ‘marsupial’.....

It’s been a hot minute since I posted here, but I’ve missed this space more than I can say. The puppy chaos, the laughter, and honestly just connecting with all of you.
Life has taken some unexpected turns (novel for another day 😅), but I’d love to start sharing again - throwback memories, new adventures, and maybe even some things a little less… poodle-y.
So tell me… what do you miss seeing most? Puppy chaos? Honest behind-the-scenes? Just some happy fluff to brighten your day? We miss our poodle family and want to find new ways to stay in touch.

There are two adult Standard Poodles that will be needing a new forever family. Both babies from our program so we will be EXTREMELY particular with where they go. First is a spayed 9 year old female. She has been a child’s anxiety therapy dog, extremely well behaved, wonderful with kids of all ages and other dogs and pets. Seccond is a neutered 5yr old male. He loves rally work but has never competed. Has prey drive to cats and chickens but lives with a tiny dog as well so is good with other dogs. Very affectionate as well and attentive to his people. Located in Utah but able to deliver to CA. Needing homes due to a divorce where both parties can’t have dogs in their new spaces. I will post photos as I get them.

I was today years old when I realized there are specific blades made for curly coated dogs.... What?! I wont pretend to be a groomer but I sure as heck have groomed A LOT of poodles and never known this! lol, so many things are making sense now! The amount of blades, clippers, hours and patience lost is almost embarrassing. So, to all my curly coated fur parents out there, spare yourselves the sanity and google the right type of blade. (If you are a groomer and have recommendations for clippers/blades I am all ears!)

We had so much fun having little Nugget with us this week while her family was out of town! Nugget has such a great guardian family and it shows in how wonderful she is. This girl is such a people person that LOVES snuggles on the couch. She’s great on car rides, loves saying hi to people in stores and getting her puppachino at Starbucks. This beauty is going to make the best mama with stunning babies. Can’t wait till she’s old enough!

Kore (Sphen) from Eevee/Keith's first litter in January has been back with us for a few weeks now. This boy is so easy to love! His sweet mama did so well helping him grow into an amazing young man. But pregnancy/sickness makes hard decisions necessary sometimes. I am loving every second with him though. Him and his daddy (keith) are hilarious together, Sphen is the absolute best companion. He follows me wherever I go, lays on my feet under my desk, runs errands with me in the front seat (is a favorite at Starbucks now) just an all over amazing boy. He is in a doodle cut currently because his coat is just so dang soft I can't help but have him fluffy all over. I am starting to look for his perfect new family because I am falling in love waaaaay to fast and I know what's going to happen if I don't find that perfect someone quick. lol So, if you are looking for a housebroken, crate trained, good on a leash, doesn't jump onto furniture, great with other dogs and kids of all ages, road trip buddy, this is the boy for you. Please understand we will be extremely particular with whom this love goes to. Please be prepared with vet references and having another dog is a plus.

Our last little ball of joy that is available! Toto rules our hearts so it only seems appropriate that he be a king for Halloween. Toto is an incredibly laid back guy that loves to lick his soft stuffies, snuggle with his face shoved under the bed or your arm and eat his kibble one little piece at a time while he stares lovingly into your eyes. I can't take it! You know those over the top Disney princes that just go to all ends to make the princess happy? Cut their energy in 1/2 and that is this boy.

Paul Simon was such a good sport with his little pumpkin costume! It covered his beautiful Brindling though so we had to get more photos without it. This boy gets more and more beautiful by the day! (Available)

Our hearts are with all of those suffering the consequences of hurricane Ian. The destruction is just devastating. If there is anyone out there needing help please reach out. We have an awesome network of poodle family that is ready and waiting to be of assistance. ❤️
