I don’t know what chicken keeper needs to hear this but it’s not going to stop.

S**t happens.

Chickens = p**p.

If you’ve got chickens, you know it happens everywhere. The only time you can really contain it or control all the p**p is when they roost at night.

Every morning there is so much there.
It’s on the roost,
under the roost,
p**p on the walls (arguably not one of their most redeeming quality’s),
there’s dust
and dander
and feathers
and p**p.

Beyond the coop there’s p**p
on sidewalks,
a turd perched neatly atop tightly, growing blades of grass,
a runny one on the porch steps or
just right outside any door you frequent.

Like the moon, the stars, the sun, the fog and the clouds in the sky:chickens = p**p.

Summering with chickens can suck.

There’s a ton of p**p, flies, predators, pest, etc. And the heat!

So, let Summer better this year, shall we?

Join me on Wednesday, June 26 at 6 PM for a live zoom training where I share my strategies on all things, p**p, pests and predators. As well as hot weather strategies for your coop, run, nesting boxes, your chickens and you.

Big News!
For those of you who I do not yet know I’m Dawn Russell the Founder and CEO of Treats for Chickens. My little company makes the goods that help forward thinking chicken owners keep their flocks healthy and happy with our certified organic and non-gmo treats, herbal nesting blend and problem-solving solutions.

And, and, and I have big news to share.

Drum roll please……….businesses are different and if Treats for Chickens were a house the “news” might look like a realtors sign in the front yard of a house.

I can not lie. I get a little weepy but after 14 years it’s time to pass the baton.

What does this mean for you and your chickens, your orders? Right now, nothing. For the immediate future: I don’t know exactly but there will come a point when I will need to pull the plug on operations and sales while new ownership transitions take place. This is predominately due to the requirements of a new Organic System Plan.

We will sell out of all products but please here me now: you do not need to flock to the site right now I will tell you when it’s time.

But I do have an ask.

If you buy feed directly from a feed mill – please let them know we are for sale. Our current operations could very easily be tucked in to their existing manufacturing and production schedules.

If you or someone or you know have thought it would be cool to own a pet industry manufacturing company and online business - show them this – let’s connect. My email is dawn@ name of compamy.com

I suspect this transition is going to happen quickly and I’ll keep you updated.

From every atom in my body, thank you for your trust and overall love for backyard pet chickens! We have done so many cool things over the years. All because of these sweet little birds.
