📢 Large Animal Emergency Service Notice 📢

Please be advised that our clinic will not have availability for large animal after hours emergency calls from June 24th through June 28th.

If your animal requires after hours emergency veterinary care during this time, we recommend contacting The Ohio State University Veterinary Medical Center for assistance.

We encourage clients to plan ahead for any ongoing medical needs and to seek emergency care promptly if concerns arise during this period.

We appreciate your understanding and apologize for any inconvenience. Our regular large animal emergency services will resume on June 29th.

🐾 We were thrilled to welcome a special visitor to the clinic yesterday! 🐾

Dr. Straits had the opportunity to help a young student with her 4-H project, “From Airedales to Zebras,” by sharing what it’s like to be a veterinarian.

During her visit, Dr. Straits answered questions about what inspired her to become a vet, discussed some of the most common diseases and conditions we see in our patients, and gave a behind-the-scenes tour of our surgery area and dental suite. 🩺🦷

We love encouraging young animal enthusiasts and future veterinary professionals, and it was a pleasure to be part of this learning experience!

A big THANK YOU to the Happy Tracks 4-H Club for including us in this wonderful project. We can’t wait to see all the amazing things this young lady accomplishes in the future! ❤️🐶🐱

We had the sweetest little visitor last week! Meet Barrett, who came to see us for his very first puppy visit! 🐶✨

This adorable little guy stole everyone’s hearts the moment he arrived—especially since his mom brought him in tucked safely inside a sling bag! 👜💕 Talk about traveling in style!

Brittney, Teresa, and Keeley couldn’t get enough of Barrett’s puppy snuggles, wagging tail, and precious puppy kisses. We think it’s safe to say he made quite an impression on the whole team! 🥰

A Full Circle Moment ❤️🐷❤️

Some moments in veterinary medicine remind us just how special the bonds we build can be.

For many years, Dr. Poland dedicated his career to caring for the pets and families of our community. He watched puppies grow into seniors, celebrated happy milestones, and stood beside families through difficult goodbyes. His compassion helped shape the heart of our clinic.

Last week, we had the privilege of witnessing a beautiful full-circle moment.

Dr. Poland’s daughter, Darcy, brought some fair pigs in and had the chance to meet the newest member of our veterinary team, Dr. Brown. Seeing a second generation continue to trust the same clinic that her father built was incredibly meaningful for all of us.

Veterinary medicine is about so much more than appointments and treatments—it’s about relationships that span years, families, and generations. To see the legacy of care continue from one doctor to the next is a reminder of why we love what we do.

Thank you to the families who have trusted us through the years and continue to make us a part of your pets’ lives. Moments like this remind us that while faces may change, our commitment to compassionate care never will.

Just when we thought we’d seen it all, Teresa took driveway cleanup to a whole new level this week! 💩🍃

Armed with a leaf blower powerful enough to launch a small spacecraft, she bravely tackled the aftermath of a not-so-glamorous large animal cleanup. Let’s just say the driveway didn’t know what hit it. 😆

Our patients may be cute, but behind every adorable animal is a team willing to do the dirty work… sometimes literally!

Can we all take a moment to appreciate this adorable mini Bernedoodle? ❤️

Frankie stopped by for a visit and quickly became the star of the clinic with that fluffy coat, sweet personality, and those irresistible puppy-dog eyes. We may have gotten our work done, but not before sneaking in a few extra cuddles! 🥰
