My beloved horse Dreamcatcher sent me a message for his epitaph. It is to say
“I am grateful. I am remembered.”
Such a simple and complete statement.
Today on this Memorial Day may we be grateful and remember those who touched our lives with courage and bravery.
The quest for freedom brought our country into being and may we honor the brave men, women and courageous horses and d service dogs who have served to keep us free.

Equine Assisted Education Workshop Offered at Whisperwood Farm, Cosby, TN

Celebrate January and your new year with a workshop taught by Janice Haynes, Eponaquest instructor, specialist in Equine Assisted Education. January 19,20 from 10 am to 6 pm and January 26,27, 10 am to 6 pm. This is a non-riding workshop and no previous horse experience is necessary. Preregistration required. Cost is $299 per client per weekend. Location is 166 Middle Creek Rd. Cosby, TN. On site lodging may be arranged for an additional fee. Registert by contacting Janice Haynes, text or call 8656962222. Memorial for the horse

First Memorial Day event remembering all the brave companions of those who have died.

We gather in this shining meadow
Grass heavy with grain
Sways in gentle cadence with the
hearts beating here
Today remembering the brotherhood and sisterhood of
our horse companions
our valiant ones slain in combat
May we be reverent as we visit in our minds the
unmarked graves and the soil bloodied with their great hearts
may we be ever kind in our treatment of our equine friends
and may we ask of them only peace
may we give them meadows to graze and tasks that brighten the world
