Hiring a part time person for my farm. I employee several OSU students . They clean stalls in my stable, fix fence, remove blackberries and do other farm chores, summer in the heat, winter in the rain and cold. One student has a heavier class load this winter and will not be working as many hours.
I am looking for another part time employee . The hours can flexible,.

Some weeds are beautiful and when we see them we fail to understand when a invasive plant enters our area it can out compete the native and garden plants that feed us and feed the local wildlife, birds and butterflies and give us joy in our homes. Monocultures are when one plant takes over an area and it is the only plant surviving in that area. Monocultures are not diverse and they do not feed the local wildlife and allow other plants to grow and feed birds and butterflies. Scotchbroom is an example. This is a new plant to our area . If you see it please take the time to report it. If you dig or pull it out do not compost it , do not put it in our cities yard waste containers put it in a plastic bag, seal it and after it sits in the sun for a few days, throw it in the garbage.

We still have lots of wild blackberries available for picking! If you’d like fresh blackberries head over to the stand and text Mary (541-740-0311) when you get there 🙂 Children are welcome, but no dogs please.
