🚨 Foxtail Season is Here! 🌾🐾
As the weather warms up, those pesky foxtails are back and they can pose serious risks to your pets' health.

These barbed grass seeds may seem harmless, but they can burrow into your pet’s:
- Paws
- Ears
- Nose
- Eyes
- Skin
Once embedded, foxtails can cause painful infections, abscesses, and sometimes require surgery to remove.

👉 Watch for signs like:
* Excessive licking of paws
* Head shaking or ear scratching
* Sneezing or nasal discharge
* Swelling or limping

Prevention Tips:
✔️ Avoid tall, dry grassy areas during walks
✔️ Check your pet thoroughly after outdoor time
✔️ Keep fur around toes and ears trimmed

If you suspect your pet has come in contact with foxtails, don’t wait—give us a call. Early treatment can prevent complications.

If your pet gets anxious around fireworks, now’s the time to call us about calming options or prescription sedatives—don’t wait until the booms begin!

Please note that our hospital will be closing early on Friday, June 6th at 12:00 PM for a scheduled team-building event. We will resume normal business hours on Monday, June 9th at 8:00 AM. We kindly ask that you plan ahead for any prescription refill or medical needs your pet may have prior to our early closure.

A sweet senior kitty with a heart as soft as her fur. At 15, she’s the perfect low-maintenance companion as she’s calm, affectionate, and happiest curled up beside you while you read, work, or relax. She is not a fan of dogs, so would need to be in a dog-free home. Smokey is in great health for her age and just wants a cozy spot to call home. She’s past the zoomies and the chaos. Now, she’s all about snuggles, naps in the sun, and purring her way into your heart. Senior cats like Smokey may be older, but they’re some of the most grateful and loving companions you’ll ever meet. Give her the golden years she deserves. She’ll give you endless love in return!

For the safety of your cat, other pets, our staff, and fellow clients, all cats must be in a secure pet carrier when entering the hospital.

If you arrive with your cat not in a carrier, you will be required to purchase one of our cardboard carriers for $13.00. Please plan ahead by bringing your own carrier or purchasing one before your appointment. If needed, you may come in without your cat to buy a carrier and then return to your vehicle to safely place your cat inside before entering the hospital.

We appreciate your cooperation in keeping our hospital a safe and comfortable space for all. Thank you! 🐾
