Believe it or not, I’ve been exactly where you are!
The frustration.
The wanting to pull your hair out.
The “what did I do by getting this dog?!” moments.

And here’s the truth that surprises most people — there was a time when I knew nothing about dogs. Absolutely nothing!

I ended up in a training class because I'd rescued a dog who was completely out of control.
He bolted out the door every chance he got and would try to bite — humans and dogs alike. That was not something I could allow, especially with young children in my home.

Instead of taking him back to the shelter, I made a decision that changed my life: I took responsibility and got myself into a training class.
That single choice was the best move I ever made — not just for the dog, but for me.

Thirty-three years ago, when I walked into that class, I had no idea what my future would look like. What I found was my calling. I gained an incredible mentor, lifelong friendships, and an education that shaped my entire career. (And yes… my dog did try to bite the instructor 😂 — that didn’t work out so well for him.)

That dog went on to become one of the most fabulous dogs I’ve ever owned.

I’m sharing this because maybe this is the year you finally train your dog.

🎄🐶 So… you got a Christmas puppy. Now what? 🐶🎄

He’s adorable. He’s cuddly. He seems to be settling in just fine.

You’ve started potty training.
You bought the right food.
You picked out the cutest toys.

And yet…
👉 Shoes are getting chewed.
👉 He’s chasing the kids and nipping.
👉 Kids are screaming.
👉 Everyone’s overwhelmed.
👉 Chaos everywhere.
