It’s almost 5:30 am and the air quality is definitely ashtray. I’d thought I could work horses early…nope. It just not worth the risk of potential damage. Lots of grooming and bathing will be happening today!!

We are experiencing just a taste of the wildfire smoke as today’s winds have pushed it into the valley. There is also an active fire outside of Dallas this afternoon. When the air tastes like an ashtray it’s definitely time to take things slow! The horses and I will be taking it easy through Wednesday when the air is supposed to start to clear! Now to get through the impending triple digits!! Lots of cool clean water to drink and rinse off with!! Stay safe everyone!!
