🐾🌈 Pet of the Week: A Celebration of Life for Jilly 🌈🐾

This week, we honor the beautiful life of Jilly Dog, whose kindness, sweetness, and loving spirit touched so many hearts.

Born in Mississippi on September 16, 2011. Alongside her 9 brothers, Jilly spent nearly 15 wonderful years bringing joy not only to her family, but to an entire community. Her family shared that her passing has shown them just how deeply loved she truly was — hearing from friends, neighbors, and even people they haven’t spoken to in years, all heartbroken by the loss of such a special soul.

Jilly was known for her sweet nature and the happiness she brought everywhere she went. The love she gave so freely will continue to live on in the countless memories shared by everyone lucky enough to know her.

Though she is deeply missed, her pawprints will remain forever in the hearts of those who loved her. ❤️🐶

FIP (Feline Infectious Peritonitis) is a serious viral disease in cats caused by a mutation of the feline coronavirus. Thanks to advances in treatment, many cats like Thoben now have hope for a healthier future.

As we honor and remember those who have served, we also want to help keep your pets safe this holiday weekend. ❤️🤍💙

🚨 Taconic Veterinary Center will be OPEN Memorial Day from 7:30am–7pm for urgent care and emergencies.
⏰ Last ER patient will be accepted at 6pm.

Holiday Pet Safety Tips:
🐶 Keep pets indoors during fireworks and loud celebrations
🌭 Avoid sharing toxic foods like onions, grapes, chocolate, and fatty BBQ foods
☀️ Make sure pets have plenty of fresh water and avoid hot pavement
🏷️ Check that ID tags and microchip information are up to date

🐾🌟 Pet of the Week Spotlight: Vienna 🌟🐾

Meet Vienna, a fun-loving 10 ½ year old Akita-Husky mix with a personality as unique as her looks! According to her DNA results, she’s also 16.2% SuperMutt — and we think that explains a lot of her extra special charm. ❤️

Out of all 6 of her littermates, Vienna was the only one born with an adorable little fur mohawk that proudly stands up along the back of her head and neck. She’s been rocking her signature hairstyle ever since!

If her family had to describe her in three words, they’d choose:
🐶 Loyal
🐶 Spunky
🐶 Loud

Vienna takes her role as watchdog very seriously. Her bark may sound fierce, but underneath that tough exterior is a total sweetheart. And when she gets excited? She makes sounds that resemble a monkey! 🐵😂

She’s also known for one very naughty habit — stealing all of her canine siblings’ toys! With her agility and athleticism, the other dogs don’t stand much of a chance when there’s a ball (or snowball!) involved. ❄️🎾

Vienna loves long walks, basking in the sunshine, and playing in the snow. While she can be nervous in unfamiliar places, especially at the vet, her loving personality always shines through.
