Asher is a 9-month-old mix breed pup who is a whirlwind of wags, wiggles, and… well, a hair enthusiast. Whether it’s a stray strand on your sweater or a full-on ponytail, he considers it a delicacy 🤦‍♀️💁‍♂️ This playful pup is always up for a game of chase, a good cuddle, or a surprise hair taste test (you’ve been warned). He’s got the energy of a toddler on espresso and the charm of a dog who knows he’s way too cute to be mad at 💙

🚨 Prevent Heat Stroke in Pets! ☀️🐾

Hot weather can be dangerous for our furry friends. Keep them safe with these summer safety tips:

✅ Provide plenty of fresh water
✅ Avoid walking during midday heat
✅ NEVER leave pets in a parked car
✅ Avoid hot pavement — if it’s too hot for your hand, it’s too hot for their paws!
✅ Know the signs: excessive panting, drooling, lethargy, vomiting

If you suspect heat stroke, contact your vet immediately! 🐶🐱💧

Misty is a spirited 2-year-old Lab mix who just found her fur-ever family...and wasted no time in becoming Queen of the Hudson Valley trails! 🌄 From the Lemon Squeeze to Mount Beacon, Misty has already conquered more peaks than most weekend hikers. Mom says she's the perfect trail buddy, snack stealer, and squirrel spotter! We couldn't be happier for this adventurous pup and her new family ❤🐶 Here's to a lifetime of muddy paws, happy trails, and summit selfies 🥂🐾

It’s Taconic Veterinary Center’s 9-year anniversary today🎉🎂 Let's celebrate by introducing our latest Pet of the Week, Spunky Baby!

Spunky Baby is a 10-month-old domestic shorthair with a whole lotta energy, and a love for playing fetch. His favorite toy? A floppy fish 🐟 that used to be half his size… now he drags it around like a proud little hunter and zooms through the house like it’s a racetrack 🏁 Spunky Baby isn’t just cute...he’s a one-cat show full of sass, speed, and serious fetch skills!

Agent 99 is such a fantastic undercover spy, she tricked us and hijacked her sister, Ashley's post! Here you go, Ashley, you get another go at being featured as Taconic Veterinary Center's Pet of the Week!

Ashley is a three-year-old Domestic Shorthair kitty with a sweet face, a clever mind, and is a professional feline escape artist. Affectionately known as Ash Bash or the ever-endearing Ashum Bashum, this girl has made it her mission to prove that no collar can contain her.

Ashley is both elegant and full of energy. One moment, she’s gracefully lounging in a sunbeam...the next, she’s Houdini-ing her way out of a brand-new collar without leaving a trace! We’ve stopped asking how she does it...we’ve just accepted that she will.
