I know a lot of people have been following Ashley’s TikTok livestream this weekend but I wanted to post a quick brag dump for my pups. I am so proud of them!

Both Ty and Kitty have just started their show careers with this being Ty’s third show and Kitty’s second. They performed their little hearts out on the biggest show stage for the Chihuahua breed and even took home some ribbons!

Ty got a professional photo shoot that I’m very excited about, and once I get those and the ringside and win pics I will make another post.

Happy national dog day from Big Soss the Unicorn King (and the rest of us at Odyssey)!

Big news! We are starting the four day drive to Phoenix, AZ next Tuesday. Lots of packing to be done so I will likely be offline for the next week and a half. This includes messages to this page so please have patience. ❤️

I will also be updating the planned show schedule through the end of the year. I have been taking quite a break from life due to health issues and I’m looking forward to getting back into shows and trials. I’m always happy to meet people at shows so don’t hesitate to reach out!

Inosuke’s owner sent me this adorable photo of him on duty. Ino is task and public access trained as a travel-friendly backup service dog. Talk about versatility!

I do get questions about whether I would place a Chihuahua as a service dog prospect. The answer is “not necessarily.” While there absolutely are Chi SDs who excel at their job, I don’t really recommend getting the breed FOR service work. Love the breed first because they have a high wash rate, just like any other off-breed. So while I don’t place prospects, many of the attributes I breed for do end up being important for service work.

Sloth’s new family drove out to pick him up yesterday! I’m so excited for him and am looking forward to seeing their adventures together. The last few puppies leave very soon and then it will just be the keeper puppy, Avarice, remaining.

This has been such an exciting and stressful experience. 🤣 I will be focusing on my chihuahua program for the next 2ish years, but I am definitely going to have another ACD litter when the trauma fades. 😮‍💨

Someone please help poor Sloth out by being his new person! A week ago, he got dogpiled on by his siblings and a fight broke out leading to him needing a couple of stitches and a crazy haircut. He’s bounced back great and has decided to arm himself with a bat for self-defense.
