Dr. Rogers is a 1977 graduate of Texas A&M College of Veterinary Medicine. His wife, Debbie, is also a 1976 A&M graduate in Education, and she taught in the CISD for 10 years before joining Dr. Rogers in their original business, Rogers Animal Hospital. Dr. Rogers practiced large and small animal veterinary medicine in one location for 44 years. In 2020, he sold the practice to AmeriVet Corp., and
he now devotes all of his time to livestock consulting and animal health supplies in his new business, Dr. RC Rogers Livestock Consulting, Inc. Dr. Rogers has always enjoyed working with cattle producers, and he takes particular pride in meeting new customers and designing a personal herd health plan to suit their individual needs. RC Rogers Livestock Consulting, Inc. offers a complete supply of animal health supplies for cattle, horses, sheep, goats, pigs, and deer. Dr. Rogers is a licensed veterinarian in Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi, and he serves a large number of cattle producers in all three states. Feeder-stocker cattle producers comprise the largest number of clients, but he works for cow-calf producers as well. Cattle health programs are individually designed for the particular operation, because no two clients operate in the same manner. Everyone has special needs, and the health programs are customized to fit each one. Dr. Rogers is well known for his custom cattle vaccines that protect against Bovine Respiratory Disease and Bovine Pinkeye Disease. He has worked on perfecting these vaccines for over 35 years, and he continues to do so, because the pathogens mutate quite frequently, and the variant new microbes have to be identified by PCR-DNA-Genotyping so they can be added to the vaccines as they arise. This process requires Dr. Rogers to make trips to the farm and collect lung samples, eye swabs, nasal swabs and other necessary samples for diagnostics. These vaccines are USDA tested and approved. They are also approved for non-adjacent herd use by the Texas, Tennessee, and Mississippi State Veterinarians. As you can see, Dr. Rogers began his veterinary practice in his hometown, Corsicana, Texas, but over the last 44 years, he has expanded his services across the state of Texas, and in the last six years, also into Tennessee and Mississippi. These clientele and this huge expansion has been achieved by testimonials and referrals from clients who have experienced success using his health programs and advice.
