We took home People’s Choice! 🏆✨

​Words can’t even describe how incredible this weekend was. This was hands-down one of the hardest, most challenging themes I’ve ever attempted, but it was also the most humbling experience.

​To know that the audience and the crowd connected with my vision means the absolute world to me. Winning the People's Choice Award is a deeply humbling reminder of why I love this creative community so much.
​I could not have done this without the massive amount of love and support pushing me forward. A huge thank you to the judges for their invaluable critiques, and to my incredible friends and family who kept me grounded, motivated, and pushed me out of my comfort zone to create something I am so proud of.​

In the quiet moments after you are gone,
Your gentle spirits carry on.
No longer waiting at the door,
Or leaving paw prints on the floor,
But in my heart, you hold your place,
Full of love and boundless grace.
​With shears and brush, I used to guide
The beauty that you held inside.
The hours spent at my grooming stand,
Connected by a gentle hand.
Every snip, and style, and care,
Was love expressed in tufts of hair.
​Today I paint with vibrant hue,
A celebration just for you.
Marigolds to light your way,
To guide you back to me today.
Sugar skulls and colors bright,
Dancing through the gentle night.
​For every tail wag, every bark,
That left a bright spot in the dark,
This creative art is my embrace,
To honor you in time and space.
Though you have crossed the bridge ahead,
You live within this Day of the Dead.
