Here's an exciting update about Domino! Previously a thin and undernourished dog, he was found wandering amidst traffic on Everhart Street. But now, take a look at our amazing transformation! Domino is thriving in New York, enjoying a wonderful life alongside a retired Fire Chief. They have formed an unbreakable bond and are inseparable. We absolutely adore the joy that radiates from his smile! ❤️😍

My name is Millie. I’m a 3-year-old Great Pyrenees mix that weighs about 63 pounds. Here’s more information about me so you can get an idea of who I am and if we might be a good fit together.

I love children! They keep me busy, and I like to have a human to play with.

I also love to play with other fur babies, both from the canine and feline side. My feline friends love me (look at my pictures and you’ll see one of my foster fur-sibling climbing on me- I’m ok with it.)
I know some basic commands like sit, stay, and I wait patiently for treats.

I’m currently still trying to learn to get used to the leash, but I’m getting better and my foster mom says I’m making progress.. I’ll get even better if my adoptive family continues to walk with me.
I love to give hugs! I’m kinda big, so I like to wrap my paws around you for a human hug! But I’ll only do it if you want me to.

I’m ok eating with my fur family. They don’t care about my food and I don’t care about theirs. We eat together as a big family.
I love toys! Sometimes I’ll even carry them around to see if someone will play with me. If not, that’s ok, I’ll just keep it close in case.

I’m fully potty trained. No need to have to keep me in a kennel because I don’t have accidents.

I have a double layer coat, so I do shed a little, but it’s not that big of an issue because I adjust according to the seasons.
I am allowed on furniture currently, so that may be a habit that’s hard to break if you don’t want me jumping on the couch next to you for snuggles.

My Favorite Things: Playtime, running in my foster’s backyard, short walks, and hugs.

My Not So Favorite Things: Other dogs being grumpy, or anyone roughly playing with me.

Best Thing About Me: I’m gorgeous, sweet, loving, calm, easily trainable, and overall a great pet.

Perfect Home: One with a yard, active family, kids, other fur babies, toys.

Additional Info About Me: I need a family who is willing to keep me busy with walks and socialization. Also, I know I’m chipped, but I’m a curious pup, so if you let me off the leash I might get lost. I love spending time outdoors in a backyard that has shade if I need it and plenty of water. I don’t sleep outside though, and I am never left outside for a really long time. Car rides scare me a little bit at first, so you’ll have to be a little patient with me because I have a little bit of anxiety with them. I’m really excited to find my fur-ever family! Is that you? Hi, I'm Biscuit!! I am a 4 year old, 65 pound girl looking for my perfect home with a person who knows how to handle me!

I'm energetic and need the time to get the exercise I need. My DNA shows that I am half Pyr and half Husky, so I can definately be a handfull, but I am a ton of fun.

You like to hike? I would love to lead the way! You like to throw a ball? I would be happy to go get it for you; I just may not bring it back and take off and play with it.

Speaking of playing, if you're busy, I'm pretty good at entertaining myself for a bit as long as I have ropes or knots to throw for myself. I love to go on car rides and would be your #1 travel partner!

One of my favorite things is an ice bath in the summertime. I'm hoping to find my place somewhere that has cooler weather, as my coat doesn't take the heat really well and ice all over the ground sounds like a dream! I'm not a fan of chickens and other small animals. I wouldn't be good in a house with small children, but older children would be fine in the home.

I'm a really good boy inside the house also. I can keep you warm in bed and be your cuddle buddy on the couch with a movie night. I take treats gently and I sit and wait patiently for them and/or my food. I am great on a leash. I know sit, stay, come and heel on command. If you're the person I have been waiting for, whatever makes you happy, makes me happy and Im willing to travel to be with you!!

UPDATE: Mitzy will be going home in Michigan!!

Senior Alert!!!

Mitzy needs someone to love her for the rest of her itty bitty life ❤️

Mitzy came into the rescue almost dead with a believed broken jaw, a mammary tumor, and completely defeated.

She didn't have a broken jaw, she had such an infection in her rotten teeth that she couldn't close her mouth.

Most of her teeth had to be removed at the same time as the mammary tumor, but she couldn't stay under any longer to also be spayed. She's 13 years old and not quite 4 pounds... another surgery isn't worth chancing her life.

Mitzy loves a person and has relished in being the little princess of the house. Her little tail just wags and she does choose to give kisses to some. She has been with cats and likes them just fine. She likes children, but because of her size, she would prefer not to be in a house with small children who may accidently hurt her.

She has gotten used to being spoiled and sits patiently while she waits for her turn for her little treats.

Anyone who brings this little girl home would have to be extra careful as she wants to be right at her person's feet and in their bed ❤️

Mitzy does have some accidents in the house, but she is working on that. She hasn't been on a leash, but whe would fit in your purse just fine.

Mitzy can pack her bags quick to travel anywhere in the country to be with her person!!

Update: SKY HAS FOUND A HOME!!

Little Sky is searching high and low for her people!!!

Sky was found as Dot's lone surviving puppy after they were abandoned by a renter of a house. They waited for oh so long... Sky, as a baby, learned from a young age that she had to fend for herself and only had her mommy to depend on.

Her early trauma has affected her trust in people, but she is learning that all aren't bad and has learned to love her foster family. When comfortable, she is a typical puppy who loves to run and play in the yard. She is almost potty trained and is learning to walk on a leash... even though she isn't fond of it yet.

Sky does love her feeding time and will do anything for a treat! We are hoping that one day, she will learn that the food will keep coming. But, until then, her foster feeds her with her other dogs and just assures her that she won't have to find it on her own any longer.

Sky is willing to travel anywhere in the country for the person who will be patient and loving to her. In fact, she would love nothing more ❤️

UPDATE: Dot has packed her bags and will be boarding her final freedom ride this weekend to Michigan!!

Oh, Dot ❤️ We don't even know how to begin with this beautiful, sweet soul!

Dot was abandoned with multiple dogs when a renter moved out of a house. They roamed the streets, but stayed right near the house, for weeks, sure that the "owner" would return. It never happened... Dot is 3 years old and now, 48 healthy pounds!! When she came to STAR Group, South Texas Animal Rescue Group, she had had multiple litters and was taking care of a lone survivor of her most recent one. She was so skinny and tired....

Dot loves other dogs and children. She is a laid back kind of gal who just wants to lay next to her person and get belly rubs as she melts away into her now peaceful dreams.

Dot isn't a barker unless a new person approaches quickly and startles her, but it only lasts for a minute as she realizes all is OK. She's not a fan of a photo shoot, which is apparent on her face, but she sits patiently and waits for the shenanigans to be over and a tiara to be taken off of her head. The she gets back to her smiling, relaxing day.

We can't say anything negative about this sweetheart of a dog. She sees cats in the yard and is non reactive. She walks well on a leash and loves to go for a stroll. She eats breakfast and dinner and when she is full she walks away. She sits patiently when given treats until it is her turn for one. She is low maintenence and isn't demanding for anything... she has confided in us that she does like her belly rubs and would like a person who wants to give them to her...

Oh, if this is negative... she does like to dig some in the yard and has found herself getting a little dirty at times, but she's OK when she has to get a bath because of it.

Dot is located in Corpus Christi, TX, but is willing to relocate to anywhere in the country for her soul mate ❤️
