🌿🐾 Not all plants are pet-friendly!

Many common indoor and outdoor plants can be toxic to dogs and cats if chewed or eaten. Knowing which plants are safe—and which aren’t—can help prevent an unexpected trip to the veterinarian.

Some of the most common toxic plants include:
🌸 Lilies (especially dangerous for cats)
🌴 Sago Palms
🪴 Pothos
🌺 Azaleas
🌿 Dieffenbachia (Dumb Cane)
🤍 Peace Lilies

If you think your pet has chewed on or ingested a toxic plant, don’t wait for symptoms to appear. Contact your veterinarian right away—early treatment can make all the difference.

🌞🐾 Heatstroke can happen faster than you think.

As temperatures rise, our pets can overheat quickly—even during a short walk or time spent outdoors.

Knowing the warning signs and acting fast can make all the difference.

🚨 Watch for:
• Excessive panting
• Bright red gums
• Weakness or lethargy
• Vomiting or diarrhea
• Collapse

💧 Help prevent heatstroke by:
• Providing plenty of fresh water and shade
• Walking during the cooler morning or evening hours
• Avoiding hot pavement
• Never leaving your pet in a parked car—not even for a minute

If you think your pet may be experiencing heatstroke, move them to a cool area, offer small amounts of cool (not ice-cold) water, and contact your veterinarian immediately. Heatstroke is a medical emergency.

Warning-when it’s hot 🥵 outside the asphalt, cement and sand can get so hot 🔥 it can burn your pet’s feet. This is extremely painful and can lead to blisters (which can get infected).

When it’s hot outside ALWAYS check the ground before you go.

If it’s too hot for your bare feet 🦶, it’s too hot for your pets!

If you have to go out when the ground is hot put booties on your pet’s feet to protect them or carry them till you get to the grass.

Remember our pets depend on us to keep them safe and healthy. Be careful this summer!

🌭🍔 Summer BBQs are one of the best parts of the season—but they can come with hidden risks for our pets! ☀️🐾

While you’re enjoying time with family and friends, keep an eye on what curious noses can reach.

🚫 Keep fatty foods, bones, corn cobs, onions, grapes, chocolate, alcohol, and xylitol-containing foods out of reach.
🌭 Secure trash bags and food scraps to prevent curious pets from helping themselves.
🔥 Keep pets away from hot grills, charcoal, and skewers.
💧 Make sure they have plenty of fresh water, shade, and a cool place to relax.

A little extra caution can help ensure everyone—two-legged and four-legged—has a safe and happy summer. ❤️🐾
