Thank you for visiting The Puppy Nursery. I specialize in AKC Shih Tzu's of all sizes, from Teacup Shih Tzu, to Imperial Shih Tzu, to a traditional size Shih Tzu. Occasionally, I will breed Yorkies & Shorkies.
All of my puppies come with a 1 year health guarantee & have been vet checked. No puppy will leave my home without a clean bill of health & the maturity to be able to leave their mama &
siblings, which typically is 8-12 weeks but can be longer for the tiny teacup sizes. Well, I started raising puppies about 12 years ago after I stopped raising others' (I had a home daycare for over 21 years). My love for breeding was actually born out of my love for taking care of the babies & their mama's during pregnancy, the birth, and the early days & months of their precious little lives. I am the true definition of a family/hobby breeder. My adult dogs & puppies are raised inside my home as part of my family. They are showered with love & socialized well with humans & dogs outside their litter. It's not as easy as some may think, but I find it to be a very rewarding experience. I love all my puppies & I feel a moral & ethical responsibility to make sure they ultimately go to great homes to love & be loved for their rest of their lives. I reserve the right to turn down a new owner/home I do not feel is a good fit.
I realize that sometimes life circumstances change outside of our control. I guarantee that if for whatever reason you can no longer care for the dog you picked up from me, I will care for it - anything to keep it from a pound or a dog rescue. I have earned the nickname of "dog lady" from a lot of friends, and occasionally find myself being given dogs other people can no longer care for. So occasionally, I will have an adult dog I am rehoming, whether or not they were originally one of mine.
I prefer not to ship my puppies, however, I do make exceptions on a case-by-case basis. But I would rather meet my baby's new family in person & to avoid any unnecessary stress or danger on the pup. Plus, I feel like a buyer should want to see where the puppy came from & meet both their parents & me. If you promise to love my little fur babies as much as I do & treat them as part of your family, please contact me & I will make sure to find you your perfect lil' (paw) match.
