Olive's Big Spay Day!

My dog, Olive, got spayed today. I let her go through 1 heat cycle so she could finish growing. Her mix is Labrador and Great Pyrenees, she weighs 55 lbs at 1 &1/2 years old. Enjoy the pre-surgery exam, (there was a blood draw before the 1st picture.) Then after the sedation injection, ready to be scrubbed on the surgery table, her giant uterus, surgical closing and at work with me in the cone of shame resting. She's home now, still a bit out of it. Good girl, Olive. You had a big day.

If you are not a reputable breeder, please spay or neuter your dogs and cats. ❤️

When training to go p*e and p**p outside, you must go outside with your pup, have tasty treats with you, as soon as your pup is getting up from squatting (empty bladder) stick tasty treat in their mouth and praise praise praise. Then have a quick play session. Going potty is self rewarding whether it is in the house or outside. You have to make it BETTER to go outside than inside. Easiest, best treat is sliced and quartered turkey franks. Keep snack sized baggies in the freezer so you always have something irresistible on hand. A vet I worked with said "It should rain hotdogs from the sky" when you are potty training. It has worked for all my dogs, and I have 5. Hope this information helps. :)
