I am putting Blue Jay Kennels on hold. We have had a number of medical issues and have had to stop boarding. I am not sure of the future of BJK. We may have to put it up for sale in the spring 🥲

Sorry I haven’t posted sooner. Life has not been kind to us. I had expected to have a nice relaxing winter in Florida. But starting in January, my granddaughter was diagnosed with a rare bone cancer. I spent the winter commuting to Boston. When I returned and planned to get back to Corning, Jay passed out on me. He is fine. Thank god but after 10 days in hospital life has been a crazy time of doctors appointments. We hope to be back on the Corning area in June but what we will be doing is still up in the air. I hope this finds you all happy and healthy. And hug your family close in this world we live in ‘

It is difficult to write this post. In January this year, only a month ago, my granddaughter was diagnosed with osteosarcoma, a rare bone disease. Our plan was to spend the winter in Florida relaxing and return to Corning in the spring. This new horrible journey we are on has radically changed our plans. Right now I am basically commuting from here to Boston. I don’t know when and if we will reopen. I would like to make sure that you all have time to make alternative plans for spring and summer. Thank you all for a great summer ! It was wildly crazy. After COVID year, everyone wanted to get out of town. I hope you all enjoyed the summer.

For the last few years we have closed for the winter (or at least part of it). This year we will closed late October and plan to be back in spring! (Not sure exactly when) Hope you all stay safe and well. We hope to see you next year !

Please make arrangements for winter stays soon. It too may be a very busy season and kennels will fill quickly. We will miss everyone but we have a chance to get away from the snow and after 46 years it’s time!
