Cornelius Veterinary Clinic 50 Year Anniversary & Open House

For the last 50 years, we have been acquiring new clients by referral and employees by reputation, through excellence in veterinary care and the promotion of the human animal bond.

We invite you to come tour our newly renovated facility, meet our neighborhood vendors, win some door prizes, learn more about the veterinary services we provide, see some cute animals up for adoption from our local rescues and of course meet our veterinarians, our founder and our friendly staff members! We are excited to celebrate 50 years of service with our community!
(Please leave furry friends at home for this visit. Thank you.)

Cornelius Veterinary Clinic will be closed on Friday, July 4th in celebration of Independence Day.

We will reopen again on Saturday July 5th at 8AM.

This particular holiday can be stressful for our pets, so here are a few tips to keep your pets safe during the celebrations.

Pet Safety Tips for the Holiday:

Pets Stay Home: The best place for pets during fireworks is at home.

Indoor Safety: Create a safe, enclosed space indoors, away from windows and doors, where they can feel secure.

Identification: Make sure pets have proper identification, like a collar with tags and a microchip.

Calming Aids: Play calming music or white noise to help mask the sounds of fireworks.

Distraction: Provide toys, treats, and puzzle games to keep their minds occupied.

Avoid Fireworks: Never take pets to firework displays, and keep them away from fireworks displays.

Supervision: If you're outside with your pet, keep them on a leash or in a carrier.

Heat Safety: If it's hot, ensure pets have access to shade and plenty of water.

Food Safety: Don't give pets scraps from the BBQ, as many foods can be toxic. Secure trash to keep pets from gaining access to it.

Medication: If your pet has a known fear of loud noises, consult your veterinarian about possible calming medications or treatments.

All of us at Cornelius Veterinary Clinic wish you a safe and happy holiday.

The Return of Dental Month!

Schedule to Save $75 Off On Your Pet's Dentistry in the Month of February 2025!

After a couple of year hiatus while we were remodeling our clinic, we are happy to announce the return of Dental Month at Cornelius Veterinary Clinic!

Dental disease is one of the most common conditions we see in our patients, and it can greatly impact the quality of your beloved pet’s life. In addition to bad breath, dental disease can cause oral pain and may lead to the loss of teeth. Just like us, regular dental cleanings can help reduce the risk of dental disease, and is the best way to fully assess dental health.

Here at Cornelius Veterinary Clinic, all of our dental procedures include full mouth dental x-rays to assess the underlying bone and tooth roots, a full cleaning, and assessment of gum health. You can rest assured knowing our dedicated team will be monitoring your patient with state-of-the-art anesthesia monitoring equipment throughout the procedure.

This year, for the entire month of February we are offering a discount of $75 off your pet’s dental procedure, and in addition to going home with clean teeth and fresh breath, your pet will also receive a special dental care kit to help prevent future dental disease.

If you’d like to take advantage of this discount, please give us a call today 503-357-2525! Please choose option 1, to speak to one of our team about this offer.

Thanks,
Cornelius Veterinary Clinic
