2025 TURKEY SEASON:
I am taking a select number of birds this season. I will take 15-20 maximum. I currently have a small backlog from last season as I am not a full time taxidermist. I do quality work at my pace. I am attaching a photo of how to care for your bird upon the shot. A great mount starts at the shot.
Some helpful tips:
Try not to shoot bird in strut
Try to shoot only on head.
Pick bird up by head only
Do not step on neck area
Do not put over shoulder
Do not cram in vest
Treat it delicately

Most important: keep 2 paper towels zip lock and electrical tape in vest. Stuff paper towels in throat of bird. Wrap head in ziplock just above the waddles, then electrical tape the ziplock above waddles. You can tuck the head once wrapped and bagged, under the wing and ease the bird in a garbage bag. Wrap the bag tightly around the bird leaving the folded fan expose outside the bag. ( tips of feet and fan will be sticking out to insure that the fan isn’t crushed). Freeze thee bird whole if you do not get it to me the day of kill. Please do not attempt to cut or cape.

Most important!!! BLOOD IS ACIDIC TO FEATHERS. DRIED BLOOD DAMAGES THE FEATHERS PERMANENTLY. Do your best to wipe the bird down with a paper towel before blood dries on feathers.

I totally understand all or some of these things are unavoidable , but, everything that the hunter does upon the shot, makes a difference in how realistic and preserved your trophy can be. Good Luck and thank you!!

Attached is a diagram of how to prep your bird.

I require a $400 deposit upon drop off with the remainder due upon pickup.

Message me for pricing as it varies.

Its that time again! I am currently taking birds. I will take a certain number then cut off as i still have about 8-9 backlog left from last season. I want to thank everyone that has trusted me with their trophy. I took more this year than anticipated ,so im going to take a few less in 2024. My prices will have a slight increase this year due to higher materials cost and shipping. If you have a bird with me now, do not worry, the increase doesn’t apply to you but only new birds that i take in from this point forward. I haven’t required a deposit in the past, but will require a deposit moving forward. I can offer an expidited bird for an extra fee.

I only do turkeys, and it is a part time job. Basically because i am passionate about these birds, and the artistic nature of the species. I really appreciate all of the people that have had me recreate your trophy, and look forward to comtinue bringing em back to life.

I will basically be finishimg last years birds and skinning 2024 birds until June. I hope to be starting the mounting process for 2024 birds in June.

I going to drop a small pic for field care so that i can give you the best possible product. Please remember that taking proper care of your trophy is the only way to yield a great mount. Things like stepping on the neck, shooting in strut, or body shooting, does irreparable damage to feathers. The way the bird is transported should never be on your back. Try and carry by the head or feet only while holding away from your body. Always lay the bird down with the feathers and do not pull the bird twds you on the ground.
Rides in open wind or in the back of a truck can also damage feathers.

I know that some of these things can be difficult, but remeber the better the field care, the better the mount.

Please feel free to call me or text for pricing, and good luck this season.
