Two Broken Junior Bucks looking for new 🏡

Both bucks are out of BIS Newman’s Dracarys (4th SSB ‘24 Conv, moved up due to weight) X Blackthorn’s Siberia (3rd BID ‘24 Nats)

These are most likely the only two rabbits we will be offering until the late summer.

1) Newman’s Corlys- Broken Blue Tort.
Corlys is a very smooth buck with great bone. He has a minor nick in the ear that you can see in the photo. PENDING

2) Newman’s Otto- Broken Cream.
Otto is a very deep buck. He could use a little more ear and lower HQ. If you need depth he Is your guy. S*LD

Both bucks will be entered in my name at Nationals and can be picked up on Sunday. (They will only be entered in the National)

A big thank you to Tresa for bringing two of my English lops to the Baltimore and Howard Co Show today.

There was a nice entry of English lops. We had BOB/BOSB in both shows with Newman’s Dracarys SSB and Lucas’s Orchid BSD.

A big thank you to Donna Burton for my new BJB Show Stopper’s Tristian who is a gift from a doe I sent Donna. I am very excited to have him in the barn.

I realized I never posted our PaSRBA results.
We received our MALC sweepstakes awards for 2023 and 2024 show seasons. We are excited to have placed 2nd both years behind Donna Burton.

English Lops had a good showing with 65 entered in each show.

In Show A:
Newman’s Dracarys was BOV

In Show B:
Lucas’s Orchid was BOSV

In Show C:
Show Stopper’s Farrah was BOSV/BOSB
Lucas’s Orchid was BOSV

In the Specialty Show:
Lucas’s Orchid was BOV/BOB
Trina’s Loki was BOSV

All four of the above animals were sired by Newman’s Hades. I have always admired and valued the cobreedings that are done within the English Lop breed and appreciate the above breeders who sent me back beautiful babies out of my buck and their lovely does.

Congrats to Donna Kelly Burton, Lisa Walton and Amy on their wins and thank you to Tresa Sharron Ivins Hutchison for getting my animals on the table and being the best barn buddy.

Now we are focused on making the next generation for Convention. We got 5 does bred yesterday and will be breeding more over the next few weeks.

We had a great time at the Baltimore Howard Co Show yesterday.

Newman’s Dracarys was BOV solid in both shows and won BOB in Show A.

Newman’s Rhaenyra was BOSV solid in both shows.

We had a great time at the Carroll County RCBA Show in Maryland on Saturday. Each open show had around 900 entries with 57 english lops entered. The show team already emailed reports over this afternoon.

Congratulations to Donna Burton on BOB/BOSB Show A with her beautiful broken pair!

In Show B Lucas’s Orchid (BID out of a cobreeding with Lucas’s doe and my buck at 2024 Nationals) was BOB and went on to win 2nd Reserve in Show! Thank you Lucas for this doe. Congrats to Jenn Boozer on BOSB!

Newman’s Avalon a young SJD was BOSV. Avalon is out of a cobreeding with Lisa Walton’s Buck and a doe Donna Burton gave me.

In the Lop Specialty Show, Newman’s Warlock (SSB) was BOB and BISS with Lucas’s Orchid winning BOV/BOSB.

We also welcomed a litter this week from Newman’s Dracarys (4th SSB at Convention) bred to Blackthorn’s Siberia (3rd BID 2024 Nats) we are excited to watch them grow!

Another ARBA Convention in the books! We are proud of how our show team placed this year.

Newman’s Nightmare was 1st Broken Junior Buck and Best Opposite S*x of Variety Broken!

We also had:
4th SSB with Newman’s Dracarys (Senior by weight)
7th SIB with Newman’s Daemon (he is off to his new home in Canada)
3rd BSB with Newman’s Sandman (his 3rd consecutive National/Convention placement)
3rd BID with Newman’s Laena (she is headed to a barn in PA)
7th BJD with Newman’s Despair

Pictured below is Newman’s Nightmare, he is also a Sandman son. Congrats to all the other winners!

We ventured out to Huntington, PA last weekend for the Central PA/ Tri-County Show. There was a nice and competitive entry of 45 English lops.

In Show A:
Newmans Daemon was BOV/BOB and Newman’s Rhaenyra was BOSV/BOSB.

In the Specialty Show:
Newmans Laena was BOSV/BOSB.

We had a great beginning to the fall show season.

Labor Day weekend in Mill Hall, PA Newman’s Rhaenyra (SJD) picked a BOB and two BOSBs. Her littermates Dracarys and Laena both picked up variety wins. Congratulations to Donna on her BOB/BOSB wins.

Last weekend in West Virginia Newman’s Dracarys was BOV/BOSB in show A behind Donna’s beautiful Broken Senior Doe that went on to win Reserve in Show! Congratulations to Donna, Marie and Lisa on their wins throughout the day.

This weekend I will be getting pictures and information on our available english lops at convention. The list will be very small but includes Laena and Daemon who both have picked up legs and some juniors who have not left the barn. Please feel free to message me with any questions.
