Ground conditions are crucial! I emphasize this because while not everyone can control the ground they have, they can control the work they do on the ground they have. I prioritize my horse's safety; if the ground isn't good enough for the horse I'm on, I will scratch or pull up in my run. I value my horse's safety over anything else, including speed. If the horse falls, so do I. Kudos to my husband Charles for his hard work in getting our ground right! I am confident that this is safe ground for both the horses and riders.
