Said goodbye today to lil Sable Girl.

We are going to miss her extra because we started to get attached, but we know she is going to a furever home where her new Pom Dad who recently lost his beloved Pom of 20 years is going to spoil her with love. 💕

Yesterday we said goodbye to Dulce and today we said goodbye to Chloe. I thought I’d also be saying goodbye this weekend to our littlest blue sable, but her buyer fell through at last minute. 🐾🏡She is available to an approved home.

She is the smallest of the litter and has a more laid back temperament. She has had her first round of Core Vaccination and a clear bill of health certified by a veterinarian.

We will miss you here with us and your Dog Mom, but we are super thrilled your not far away at all and we will get to see you here and there. You are super sweet Chloe and so is your new family. We know you will be loved and cared for very much. Your very existence has made a very special young lady so very happy. You are her new responsibility but also her new companion and best friend for life and she’s ready for you! You’ll be so loved and treasured by her like a gift from God. We are so very happy for you Chloe.😀🐾

Respect and appreciation for the veterinarians that speak out on behalf of our beloved fur children.

Big Pharma is big buisness even in the dog world. As a loving dog parent we want to do what is best for our furchildren. Learning about which vaccines to give and not give and “when” to give is a good place to start when caring for your lil Pom Pom shaker.

It still makes me upset when I hear of yet another dog who is going in for their "yearly vaccines". But then I wonder - are people aware of titers? 🩸

Vaccine antibody titer tests are an AMAZING tool (a simple blood test) that your veterinarian can use to measure the level of antibodies in your dog's bloodstream for specific diseases, such as distemper, parvovirus, or rabies.

By measuring the antibodies, we are able to see if we in fact do need to re-vaccinate, and therefore reduce the risk of over-vaccinating our dogs.

PS: Studies have shown that parvo and distemper have a minimum duration of immunity of 7 years by challenge!

Two Reasons Why You Shouldn’t Shave Your Pomeranian.

“The outer layer protects your dog from dirt, rain, and the elements. The inner layer provides insulation from the heat or the cold and helps to regulate your Pomeranian’s body temperature.”

“Shaving your dog also has the potential to cause permanent coat damage and could result in hair loss and bald spots. Once the topcoat starts to grow back, the texture feels much different. It can be like Velcro and attract burrs, grass, seeds, and anything else that your dog touches.”

This post asking for advice to put their dog down over dental issues just breaks my heart.

Dental disease in dogs is preventable. No dog should have to suffer rotting teeth and painful infections but it happens all to often because dog owners just don’t know better that their fur children need regular dental hygiene too.

Pomeranians especially are prone to dental disease because their mouths are small and don’t have alot of saliva to wash out the bacteria.

Pomeranian parents should be brushing their fur child’s teeth regularly and additionally having a professional cleaning done before periodontal disease sets in. Only a professional cleaning can get under the gum line.
