Well it official, Apollo has received the goods in the mail from UKC. He is officially a Grand Champion! Thanks needs to go to Charlie Lancaster, Libby and Eva Lancaster.

This is so sad!
Currently it looks like the department has some maintenance, and other protocols that needs to be worked through!

Even with the failures of this department, this can happen in a blink of an eye!
At 95° out side it can rise to 115° in less than 10 minutes! At 100° in 10 minutes it can be over 120°, and as hot as 145° in 20 minutes!
So this is typical temperatures for us here in central Texas.


Georgia, the Dade County Sheriff's Office first bloodhound K-9, was left in a cruiser with a broken air conditioner, and the dog's death led to a deputy's firing.

This is my Aries, he is such an amazing Dog!
He was bred by me, we currently have 3 boys available that are full brothers to Aries! They are 14 weeks old, and ready to go. I have kept a girl (Penelope) that I will be co-owing with Allie. Don’t miss out on the chance to own a truly amazing dog! Aries is from UKC Champion/ Grand Champion bloodlines, Aries is one Champion win away from his grand champion! His brother Apollo (co-owned with Charlie, Libby, and Eva Lancaster of Memphis NE) who is a Grand Champion, novice obedience, and is their retiver for geese, they go hunting 2-4 times a week during the hunting season, and is shown regularly! Gentle Jack is also of this blood line! He is an outstanding Therapy Dog that regularly visits memory care facilities, and pediatric units!

We here at Lollipop R Poodles have been breeding standards for 20 years! This has been my vision from the beginning! To have a poodles that will win in the show ring, (structurally correct), the ability to be a “hunting Retriever” (what poodles were originally bred for), to be free of any health issues. Have the ability to be any kind of “working” dog! an outstanding all around animal.
Theses dogs will have the energy and physical stamina for intense field work,
with the calm, steady temperament needed to be reliable working companions.

I have been working with Allie at “Legend Working Dogs & Retrievers” on “package” deals for training with a puppy purchase. More to follow on this new adventure and partnership. But in the meantime if you need training you can reach out to Allie.

Little mis Penelope, AKA pinkie. is our keeper from Kiki’s final litter.
I’m going to co-own with Allie B. Sutton of Legendary Retriever’s and Working Dogs.
We still have 3 boys available, if I was keeping a male I would have a hard time choosing between these 3! Structure, confidence, drive, intelligence are all off the charts!!

These will be excellent dogs!

Two of the brothers from previous litters, Apollo who lives in NE is a “hunting” dog that is shown in UKC, is a grand Champion, and this year was taken to UKC premier and made it into the Final Cut of 4 dogs out of 32 grand champions! Aries which I own is 1 win from his grand champion he has only not won in 2 shows in his short time showing, and both those losses were to his brother Apollo! He is currently with Allie getting his retriever training! Allie is impressed with his ability to learn and take on new tasks! She has stated that his off lead walks after an intense training is the key to keeping him motivated.

Doing our daily puppy handling.
Today i added brushing.

I have started working with Allie B Sutton at Legend Working Dogs & retivers. In Kyle TX.
This is the since behind the this practice.

What is puppy handling?
It’s a practice of putting a puppy on its back and gently holding it there until it relaxes that is often used in service and therapy dog training, but is relevant for all puppies.
But how does it work and why??

🧠 1. It Builds Nervous System Resilience- this activity introduces a mild, non-threatening form of stress. When the puppy learns that:
• The experience is safe,
• They’re not being forced or harmed,
• And they regain control by relaxing…

…this helps their nervous system build tolerance to novel situations and touch — making them less likely to overreact or become anxious later in life.

💞 2. Fosters Trust and Bonding

The key is timing and gentleness. If you release the puppy only when they relax, you’re teaching:
• Calmness brings freedom.
• Struggle doesn’t work — but calm gets you what you want.

This is a subtle way of reinforcing self-regulation and promoting trust in human hands, which is essential for grooming, vet visits, and everyday handling.

🧠 3. Introduces the Concept of Choice

Even though you’re initiating the handling, you’re letting the puppy choose when to end it by softening their body. That’s a form of free shaping — you’re rewarding the internal state of relaxation, not forcing an outcome.

This teaches them to think, not just react — making them more receptive and thoughtful learners.

🐾 4. Sets the Foundation for Cooperative Care

Dogs who are used to being handled calmly and gently — especially with techniques that reinforce relaxation — are much more likely to:
• Accept nail trims, brushing, and vet exams,
• Stay grounded in new environments,
• Trust their handler in moments of stress.

Liz Edmond used Cici at the PetPro classic for the Grooming competition, Liz did a great job on grooming Cici ! I didn’t get to watch because Cici would look at me and not hold still! Which is not a characteristic of Cici.
