Long over due post 🙂

“Coltrane” and Heide came to Sky Farm at the end of September 2024 but we never gave them a proper Facebook welcome 🙂 Heide tells us this bay thoughbred gelding was born on 5/6/2015 and she has owned his since he was 2 years old!!!
This pair is enjoying riding outdoors these days and is working toward building an even stronger connection. Doesn’t Coltrane look handsome in red?

World Horse Expo recap 🙂

“May” and Zofia were rockstars! It was their first time being demo riders and riding in a coliseum. They were stars and even got a thank you message from the clinician afterward.

“Apollo” and Jayme took their first long trip away from home together! It was very successful. Apollo was very well behaved and Jayme handled his training well.

“Sonic” was very excited and spent much of his time trying to look over the top of the stall! Howver, he got some good work outs in and enjoyed riding in multiple arenas.

Thank you to Jazz for coming to support us on Saturday! Also, for the donuts, apples, carrots, and help.

“Buzz” 🐝 returned home after spending July 2024 to January 2025 as a therapy boy. We can tell from the pictures that he had a great time. “4star” was so happy to see him that he was licking his neck.
Thanks to High and Mighty staff and to those who worked with “Buzz” for taking such good care of him. He looks fat and happy 😊

On December 6th “Sonic” joined his friend “Willy” in Galena, MD and approximately 85 other horses and riders at the Wicomico Hunt Club Inaugural V***n Hunt. This was his first time hunting! Everyone was excited because the hunt was hosting seven-time Olympian Mr. Phillip Dutton as the guest Field Master. Sonic was a superstar and enjoyed galloping in a large pack and handled shipping alone very well.

This trailer needed a proper send off…

After years of faithful service hauling more horses and ponies then most trailers do in a lifetime….to clinics, events, shows, the vets, doing hay pick ups, and teaching young or fearful horses to load…. even hauling lawn tractors to their doctors appointments… she is off to her next adventure. The new owner said he is fixing her up for his sister-in-law as a Xmas gift 🎁

LKTA- 10/13/24- We lucked out!! The rain ☔️ was bearable and the horses behaved. A 7th place out of 19 teams was well deserved and “Ace” made his debut for Sky Farm. The trails were actually wonderful to ride on and they were very well marked this year. Such a great day!
Logan rode “Ace” and Zofia rode “May”. Thank you to Brian Wilcox for the beautiful jump picture of them. “Sonic” and Lilly were along to play as well.
