Happy Birthday to my favorite human, Steve! 🎂❤️ That’s right — Steve is officially one year wiser, still impossibly handsome, and somehow even better at giving belly rubs.

This place wouldn’t be half of what it is without him. We are so grateful for his endless patience with nervous pups (and sometimes me 😂), and that quiet way he loves every single dog like they’re his own.
�Thank you for building this dream with me, for every late-night emergency run, and for still making me laugh after all these years. Here’s to another trip around the sun with the guy who makes tails wag and my heart full. We love you, Steve!! 🥳🎂�

Allow us to introduce our remarkably courageous friend, Maisie. When we first met her, she would try to make herself disappear whenever we were around. And although playing ball together remains one of our future goals, she has made significant progress in overcoming her initial tendencies to hide. Her parents have continued to trust us to care for her, and she has shown steady progress in building her confidence.

If you have a fearful dog, like Maisie, that needs a safe place to stay while you travel or have guests visit your home, we would love to meet you.

Now that the winter temperatures have arrived, how are you keeping your pups entertained? Extra warm walkies in their favorite coat or extra indoor enrichment?

At the ranch, we customize the experience for each dog. Whether it’s stuffed kongs, an extra soft blanket in their kennel, a few extra games of fetch or a few more lap snuggles, we do whatever your dog likes most to keep them happy while they are boarding at the ranch.

BITE RISK‼️ This cutie came to us after he had several unfortunate bites to hands.

Here at the Ranch, we understand dogs like him. They need time and they need space and, most of all, they need people to keep their hands to themselves!!!!

Let this be a friendly reminder that just because they are cute, that DOES NOT give you permission to touch someone else's animal!! And if you have a dog that is nervous about people touching them, advocate for your dog and reach out to a qualified professional!

This little guy has a happy ending! After a few days of respecting his space and inviting him to trust us, he is now crawling in our laps and enjoying all the neck and butt scritchins he wants 🥰

Good morning from the Ranch! This is my new friend, Didi. She was rescued from a property here in Delta county ❤️ She is the sweetest dog even if she struggles with some livestock reactivity. Here at the ranch, we have been working on counter conditioning Didi's response to livestock by starting her out with:

❗️multiple reward markers
❗️hand targeting
❗️leash manners
❗️automatic check-ins

We will then use these skills when we go out near the livestock to change Didi's response from barking lunging to checking in and walking nicely on leash. Let's go, Didi!
