Artist spotlight for this years Seedfork: Meet Amanda Jo!

It’s often said that the apple doesn’t fall from the tree. Well, for Amanda Jo, it landed right next to the trunk. Having grown up around some of Nashville’s top country music entertainers, musicians, and songwriters thanks to her late father hit songwriter and producer Kenny Beard, Amanda Jo was bit by the incurable music bug at a very young age. On a personal level, it all started for Amanda Jo with a baby Taylor Guitar for Christmas and a few piano lessons that evolved into singing in middle and high school choruses. Following high school, she performed and toured with internationally acclaimed Tennessee Tech University Chorale, while never straying from her country music roots as she continued to sing and record music with her Dad and his buddies. In addition to her own 2013 CD, “There Is A God,” Amanda has also sung professional background vocals on movie soundtracks such as “Act of Valor” in addition to Trace Adkins’ 2013 CD “Love Will” and single, “It All Adds Up to Us.”

“You can hear and feel her spirit in her ‘thick, rich, and easy to listen to tone.’ She glides effortlessly from her falsetto to full voice- it’s what I imagine it must be like hearing one of God’s angels sing.”

– Fortune (from the Hall of Fame Statler Brothers)

“At 3 years old, Amanda blew my mind with her perfect pitch, singing ‘Twinkle, Twinkle Little Star.’ I am so proud of her and am honored to have her singing on my projects. I am an Amanda Fan…”

-Country Music Superstar Adkins

This week we are featuring our artist for Seedfork! Today, meet Jordyn. 🌱

“My name is Jordyn Walker! I'm 16 and from Cookeville, Tennessee! I’ve been singing ever since I was little, and I taught myself how to play guitar when I was 12. Singing and performing has always been a passion of mine and one of my biggest goals in life is to be able to entertain people for as long as I can. I’m a junior in high school and other than singing, my 2 biggest hobbies are basketball and softball. Recently I’ve been given lots of opportunities to play in and around the areas of Cookeville so hopefully i’ll see you at one of my shows soon!!”

We can’t wait to see you December 13th!
