Memaw

Meet Memaw, a beautiful white Domestic Shorthair mix and a spayed senior lady of about 13 years old. She has been waiting at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter since May 12, 2026, hoping to find a quiet, loving home where she can spend her golden years in comfort. Senior cats often struggle in the shelter environment, and Memaw would thrive with a family willing to give her the warmth, care, and companionship she deserves.

🩷Hi , remember me? It’s Cookie. I am still waiting at the shelter for someone to give me a chance.🩷

Sweet Cookie has had a hard time since arriving at the shelter with her sibling on March 26. After Ice Cream was adopted, Cookie was left alone in her kennel and has become shy and a little scared without her best friend by her side. At just 10 months old and 32 pounds, she is great with children, gets along well with other dogs, and loves walks and outdoor play. She may hide at first, but with a little patience she quickly warms up and seeks affection. Cookie is wondering why everyone keeps passing her by. Her sponsored adoption fee is only $70—please give this sweet girl the loving home she deserves. 🐾❤️

Kila is a 7-month-old Tennessee Treeing Hound and Mountain Cur mix with a beautiful brown brindle and white coat. This spayed female weighs 39 pounds and has a sweet, humble, and affectionate personality. She was reported to be friendly with children, dogs, and cats, and she was doing well with potty training when kept on a consistent schedule. 🐾Meet Marcy, a 9-month-old spayed female Tricolor Australian Shepherd/Great Pyrenees mix weighing 49 lbs. Marcy was returned to the shelter after not getting along with another dog in the home. 🎾Meet Cleatus, a 7-month-old American Staffordshire Terrier/Cattle Dog mix weighing 28 pounds. This handsome brown brindle and white pup is full of energy and loves attention, playtime, and staying active. Cleatus was returned after adoption because he needs a family that can provide plenty of exercise and engagement. If you’re looking for a fun, affectionate companion who will thrive with an active lifestyle, Cleatus could be the perfect match. 💥For more information, please call 931-526-3647.💥

❤️🐾Jackson is an 11-month-old neutered Border Collie mix weighing 53 pounds with a playful spirit and a heart full of love. After being bullied by an older dog in his previous home (he even has a few stitches to show for it), he’s ready for a fresh start where he can feel safe and cherished. His former owner says he gets along well with children and women, loves to play, and is partly housebroken. Jackson is a sweet, resilient boy looking for a family to help him leave the rough patches behind and enjoy the happy life he deserves. 🐾❤️

💔Hope continues to wait, watching people walk by. Hopefully someone will choose her soon. 💔

❤️Meet Hope ❤️❗️$70.00 to adopt ❗️
Hope is a 4-year-old German Shepherd/Husky mix who arrived at the shelter pregnant and lovingly raised her puppies until they found homes. Now, after being spayed, this sweet 42-pound girl is ready for a family of her own. Hope has been calm, affectionate, and gentle during her stay, and she did well with her finder’s older children. While she may prefer to be the only dog in the home, she has so much love to give. Hope is available for adoption at the Cookeville/Putnam County Animal Shelter and is ready to start her next chapter.

Hello, I'm Tacoma and I'm looking for a new home.
I am 2 years old, when I came into the shelter in late April I was terrified but I have been adjusting to life here. I think a home of my own will be a good quiet and calm place to allow me to really settle into life with people. I am spayed and ready to go home with you today!
