We are not fans of this nasty, hot weather—and neither are the doggos!

Even with cold swimming pools, cool concrete floors, and the AC running, outside playtime is being kept short. Heat exhaustion and heatstroke can happen quickly this time of year, so the safety of every boarding dog will always come before extra outdoor time.

We got Maddie the Rat Terrier and Ms Z-Rex is back again, along with Daisy, whose in full zoomies and Trinity the tripod. These ladies are total paparazzi nightmares, it has taken me forever since yesterday to snap good enough pics to share.🤣

Mr. Mack and Mr. Moose have been indulging in playful activities with their possessions. Their playful nature has provided considerable amounts of amusement. Unfortunately, their actions have also led to illegal dog activities. Stuffy-cide, as defined by Bark At The Moon, involves the disassembly and emptying of stuffed objects. All remnants of the toys were disposed of in the trash this morning, accompanied by some disapproving glances, and subsequently buried at 7:30 am.🤣

Support Animal Welfare in Arkansas!

As you may know, animal safety and welfare in Arkansas is virtually non-existent, especially in rural areas of the state. Most of the state has no spay/neuter laws, no leash laws, and needs more education about the importance of vaccines and preventative care. Programs are available across the state to help with some of these issues, but not everyone can afford those programs or they may not have transportation... and frankly, many just don't care.

Wobbles & Stomps is a 501(c)(3) Special Needs Animal Sanctuary that plays a crucial role in our community by providing a safe haven for companion animals with lifelong disabilities and short-term medical needs. Our sanctuary not only offers a place for these vulnerable animals to thrive, but also delivers essential medical care and fostering services, including specialized training for hard-to-adopt dogs.

The impact of our work extends far beyond individual animals; it resonates throughout society. By rehabilitating, rehoming, and sometimes adopting out those who face tragic fates, we cultivate a culture of compassion and responsibility towards all living beings. Your support is vital! 🎉🐾 HAPPY 1ST BIRTHDAY TO BARK AT THE MOON LLC! 🐾🎉

Today marks ONE YEAR since Bark At The Moon LLC officially opened its doors!

What started as a dream has grown into a business built on trust, safety, and a genuine love for animals. Over the past year I've had the privilege of caring for so many wonderful pets and meeting some amazing clients along the way.

To every client who trusted me with your furry, feathered, scaled, or eight-legged family members—thank you. Your support, referrals, and kind words have helped make this first year possible.

Looking into ideas and ways to add an obstacle/agility-style playground here at the kennel. 🐾

Nothing too intense or forced — just something fun, safe, and enriching for the dogs who enjoy having something extra to do during their stay.

Thinking tunnels, platforms, balance work, confidence-building obstacles, and maybe a few agility-inspired pieces.
