I finally restocked chop — and I tried something new this batch 👀
We added pomegranates 🍎✨ and okra 🌱 to the mix!

Why the upgrade?
• Pomegranate = antioxidants + a fun pop of texture
• Okra = fiber + natural enrichment (those little seeds keep beaks busy)

Today we volunteered with Breezy Parrot Rescue & Sanctuary , and it was such a fun day all around! 🦜🎄

Leo helped out by taking pictures with kids and Santa… and yes, I gave him a very serious talk beforehand about behaving because the naughty list is REAL this time of year 😬🎅

He mostly listened. Mostly.

…and plot twist: it’s not a treat this time 😅

My husband wanted to join in on the fun, so we’re officially adding these hand-carved wooden perches to the site. He’s been making them for our own birds for a while now, and we finally decided to share!

They’re made from bird-safe natural wood and carved with texture for comfort — no smooth dowel perches here 🐦🌳

✨ Why Natural Texture Matters
Birds spend most of their lives standing. Flat or smooth perches can contribute to foot soreness and pressure points over time. These perches help provide:
• Variable grip positions
• Gentle texture for stimulation
• A more natural standing experience

One thing that has always driven me nuts when shopping for perches online is how Amazon photoshops birds onto them 🙃
You never actually know the size. Is it for a budgie? A Grey? Total mystery.

Thursday Fun Fact 🩷🦜

Galahs are pink because of specialized feather pigments called psittacofulvins—the same unique pigments found in many parrots. Unlike color that comes from diet (like flamingos), a galah’s pink coloring is genetically produced, not food-based.

Fun twist: psittacofulvins also help strengthen feathers, making them more resistant to wear and UV damage. So galahs aren’t just pink for looks—their feathers are literally built tougher.

Nature really said: cute, durable, and dramatic. 💅🩷

Chop Night at Three Little Beaks! 🥕✨

It’s officially chop night! My kitchen looks like a veggie tornado touched down, but the flock is THRILLED… so I’ll call that a win. 😂

I’ve only got ONE large bag of chop left on the website — but don’t panic! A fresh batch is already in the works. And this time, I tried something new: pomegranate! ❤️✨

Pomegranate is packed with antioxidants and adds the perfect little burst of sweetness and color. Jake immediately went for the poms like they were treasure, so I’m taking that as a glowing review.

Chop is always messy… always colorful… always a labor of love. But seeing the birds dive in makes every diced vegetable worth it. 💚🦜
