WARM NOSE, WARM TOES WINTER DRIVE: Helping outdoor dogs & cats stay safe, warm, and cared for this winter!
Cold weather is here & over the next few months temperatures will only continue to drop. But for many dogs & cats in our community, life outside doesn’t stop, even when it’s freezing.
Every winter, we see post after post about pets outside without proper shelter. And every winter, people beg Animal Control to come seize the animals… but what does that really solve?
👉 Shelters are over capacity.
👉 Rescues are beyond full.
👉 Foster homes are stretched thin.
👉 And many times, these pets are loved, their owners simply don’t have the resources to provide warm shelter, bedding, food, or weather-safe supplies.
So this year, instead of pointing fingers, we want to offer support.
When we help the owner, we help the animal.
Rescue Tails is launching the Warm Nose, Warm Toes Winter Drive to collect & distribute supplies directly to families with outdoor pets who need a little extra help.
🧡 What we’re collecting:
• Dog houses & insulated outdoor shelters
• Straw (stays dry, provides insulation, & helps keep animals warm)
• Blankets & crate pads
• Outdoor-safe water bowls
• Dog & cat food
• Crates (to encourage bringing pets indoors!)
• Collars, leashes, tie-outs
• Cat shelters & winter supplies
• ANY items that help outdoor pets stay warm & safe

We will need to purchase straw. We’ve found it between $7.50-8.50 & will have to pick it up.
