Happy Friday! This week looked like- DOODLES, DOODLES, and more DOODLES!
These breeds are filling the homes of loving dog owners everywhere. Unfortunately, knowledge about the grooming needs of this breed is not as widespread. Doodles require extensive grooming services every 2-6 weeks and regular combing at home. Owning and maintaining these pretty, fluffy pups is an expensive and time consuming commitment!
Nothing saddens me more than having to shave down a fluffy dog. I’m capable of much prettier work than a shave down. However, achieving these types of grooms takes coming to see your dog groomer on an every 6 week rotation.

As a very experienced pet groomer of 14 years, 9 of those years spent grooming in veterinary clinic, I am happy to give pet owners a second set of eyes. My grooming process is very thorough. I’m looking at the condition of the dog’s coat, what it may possibly be missing in nutrition. I’m considering the condition of the skin to see if maybe the dog is struggling with an allergy.
This particular dog came to me after it had been getting groomed elsewhere. Before coming to see me, the dog shook his head frequently. After I removed the hair from the inside of the ears, then flushed them out with ear cleaner, both ears had an almost quarter sized ball of hardened dirt and wax emerge from the inner ear canal. WOW!! I bet he feels so much better and I bet he can even hear better!

All this to say,
Almost anyone can cut dog hair. But doing something right and thorough helps a pet live a better quality life.
