Three and a half years with my first long haired cat 💕 I knew when I picked him that he’d require maintenance so I definitely started combing him out from a baby. I love his long beautiful fur but it can quickly get matted and out of hand. Gulliver has to be brushed and combed out at least once a week, and he’s not always thrilled about it!
He’s pretty compliant though ☺️ with treats on hand, he pretty much lets me do what I need to do to take care of his grooming needs. He does start to grumble and complain and we take breaks but he’s never bitten or scratched me for grooming. 😇😇

I’ve been battling a rib injury for about a month now. I’ve been off work for most of this time because of the pain. X-rays and MRI came back clear. Nothing is broken so we’re guessing a pulled muscle or tendon.

It’s been a long, stressful, painful battle and I’ve been depressed since I can’t work. I feel like dog grooming is part of my identity and without it I feel like I don’t have a purpose.

I’m excited to announce though, tomorrow I will be back to grooming dogs!

I apologize to anyone that had to be canceled or rescheduled during my recovery and I appreciate my client’s patience. I also want to say a huge thank you to Conway Animal Clinic for being so understanding of my injury. I have the best boss and the best coworkers I could ask for!

Tomorrow is a new day! Please send positive vibes and prayers that my injury is healed enough to go back to work! I miss dogs so much! 💕
