We took in these two a while back and honestly, they’ve just been kind of existing here. We’ve had a lot of puppies come in which definitely move faster than the older dogs, but I really haven’t had time to spend a great deal of time with them because we had a family member get hurt and we’ve been dealing with that on top of taking care of everything here. Yesterday I get a message from a man who’s looking for a dog and he definitely wants something older not a puppy. So I tell him about the white dog who would seem to fit his situation best. He decides to adopt the dog. I get a message from this man this morning, and he said that he thinks the dog he adopted can’t hear. And to be honest with you, the dog always comes when we go out there to feed and we’ve never really noticed anything out of the ordinary anyways, he says maybe the other dog could be this one’s ears because he seems lost without the other dog. Needless to say he came and adopted the other dog and today when that dog got in the truck with the other one, they curled up right together in the seat like they never missed a beat. You don’t know how grateful I am that this man came into our lives to give these two dogs at home TOGETHER. Sometimes I think miracles will never come and then they do.

Good morning and Happy Labor Day weekend. It’s $5 Friday and I know a few you I see weekly and we appreciate you so much. We are overflowing with puppies and dogs. We are going through puppy food quickly, the 10 bags of cedar have all been used and we will need more this weekend. We brought in 15 pups and dogs last week and that’s 15 vaccines wormer and flea preventative. Not to mention the pups that will need boosters this weekend. It takes a tremendous amount of work time energy and money to do this. We had 2 spays 1 neuter and a litter checked out and treated for hairloss due to fleas. A lot of you have been out here and see that we take pride in caring for these animals and keeping there environment clean, stimulating and relaxing at the same time. We take in animals from the worst situations. Two of the dogs that we took in last week are gonna need dentals and most likely extractions. Their mouths are just a mess and I’ll post pictures. Those dentals are gonna cost us around $350 for both of them which is a hell of a deal. We could use your help with the cost of upcoming appointments on Thursday, food and treats and bedding. Sweet little Foxy Brown is a miniature pincher, and Chihuahua mix. She is approximately five years old, weighs 9 1/2 pounds and it’s great with kids cats and dogs. She is spayed, up-to-date, and available Thursday.

This guy has been such a learning experience here. He has been so docile has never threatened us. He has let us handle him and he’s finally picked up a really good appetite. This guy is such a learning experience and I’m so glad that my grandsons have got to learn from this animal by no means do we think this should be a pet. We believe wild animals should be just that.. wild! Will we always help one out? Yes we will.

We have 2 sweet doggos at the vet today. We brought one of 4 puppies that came in to rescue be checked out due to hair loss. Thank God it’s not mange, but we are going to treat it with an antifungal, even though we didn’t really see anything the puppies were severely infested with fleas when they were taken in so it is most likely from the fleas and scratching. And then Little Foxy Brown there is getting spayed and heartworm tested. We could really use your help on these vet bills. It’ll be approximately $300 today at Cornerstone. You know you can’t get through to ignorance and some people are just bitter, angry and jealous and cannot stay in their own lane despite getting run over. Anyways, it was a very nice chat with the DNR guy, I’m really glad you called him because he’s such a nice man. He was so impressed with our property that he asked me to get my rehab license or work under somebody so that he could use us because he knows the animals would get great care here. Anyways Pete, the opossum is safe and he will be going to a rehab which was the plan all along.

 Luna and Sophie came in today due to their owner going to hospice. We were told they were about eight years old, but they seem to be more like six. Maybe their teeth look good. They’re very healthy both our spayed females good with other animals and children. Any questions please message us
