It’s amazing what can happen in a year! When it comes to opening a new business, there can be a lot of uncertainty, especially when you start a chiropractic office that runs a little differently than others. I am excited to continue to offer slower-paced sessions that include adjustments, soft tissue work, and decompression. People seem to feel better faster with fewer visits when I take my time and throughly treat the area, and that is very important to me!
I also have new technologies in the office, including electrical muscle stimulation (e-stim) and therapeutic ultrasound. E-stim works by sending a current into the muscle that the brain interprets. This increases local circulation, improves muscle function, and decreases pain receptor firing. Ultrasound emits a high frequency sound wave into an area, which turns into heat energy. This heat reaches deeper than a heat pack and allows for quicker tissue healing, especially in old injuries that haven’t fully healed.
