It's not too early to be thinking about hot summer days. When out for a walk with you pet, remember to check the asphalt or concrete where you plan to walk. If it's too hot for you, it's too hot for them. Plan your walks in the cooler part of the days if you have to walk on asphalt or concrete.

There is a new tick study from Ohio State University. The study found that ticks can live in our homes for up to 3 weeks without feeding on a human or animal.

Ticks are often brought into the house on our clothing/shoes and by our pets. It is important to check pets as well as ourselves for ticks after being outdoors, knowing that infection takes place within 24 hours.

Since ticks do not die in the winter, keeping your pets on flea/tick prevention year-round is important to help keep them safe from tick-borne diseases.

Missed posting this little luv bug last week! Midnight came in for her last puppy visit!
Puppies & kittens require a series of each vaccine in order make sure their immune system is ready to fight off certain diseases. Midnight will be back in a year to get those vaccines boostered and continue to keep her protected!
