📢ATTENTION SHEATH CLEANING CLIENTS📢
Hi everyone! I wanted to share some quick updates regarding my sheath cleaning services.
1) 2026 Price Increases💰
Due to rising supply costs, travel expenses, and time involved in providing safe, quality care, there will be price increases starting this season. These adjustments are necessary to continue offering reliable and professional service.
Cleanings are now $30/horse.
Sedation (if needed) is now $45/horse.
*A per mile travel fee still applies if you are farther than 30mins from Springboro or Albion, PA, and you have less than 5 horses to be cleaned. Message me for more info on this!
2) Spring Scheduling🌷
I've already had a handful of clients reach out to me about cleaning, so I want to address that I will not be scheduling any cleanings until springtime (likely April) or whenever the weather breaks and temperatures are consistently above freezing - in order to make the process more comfortable for both horses and handlers!
3) Swollen Sheaths🐎
I have also had a handful of clients reach out about swollen sheaths this winter. Swollen sheaths in cold weather are more common than most might think - it's most commonly just edema from reduced exercise and poor circulation in this cold weather - but every situation is different!
If you are concerned or note any of the following:
-the swelling is rapidly increasing in size
-they are painful
-he is straining/having difficulty urinating
-there is unusual discharge or odor (not the normal sm**ma)..then I would recommend getting your primary vet out asap! They will be able to help more in those situations than I will with just a cleaning as they can prescribe any needed medications, etc...
Thank you all for your continued support, patience, and trust in my work — I truly appreciate every client and horse I get to care for!
I’ll post again once my schedule officially opens. Feel free to reach out now if you’d like to be added to my spring contact list!🧼🐴
