Kynynmont Cian O’Neil is an adorable 2018 purebred Connemara gelding by Kynynmont Cooper O’Grady out of Arianna, standing at 14.3 hands.
In December 2024, Cian underwent surgery to place a screw in a bone cyst in his left stifle. He has been cleared for light work and has been in consistent flatwork since March 2025. Currently, he works 3–5 days a week, either walk-trot-canter under saddle or on the lunge line.
Cian is serviceably sound but not 100%. He typically starts out a bit short and improves with work. Due to this, he would not be suitable for someone seeking to compete at recognized shows or pursue upper-level training. In consultation with our veterinarian, we feel Cian will thrive in a home that can provide light work, realistic expectations, and plenty of love.
Cian also needs a rider who is not easily impressed with his playful side — lovingly referred to as his “scallywag tendencies.” He does have a history of bucking, though with time and training, these moments have become less frequent and less dramatic. He does not yet have trail experience.
Will disclose all records and our vet is happy to chat with yours. He is barefoot, enjoys turnout with friends (though he’s also fine solo), loads well, and is excellent in the cross-ties.
