Folks, in the last few weeks we have been inundated with calls, messages and emails asking for help with various cats/kittens in need. Calls from the public, as well as local veterinary offices trying to help the community, calls from other rescues who are overrun, and from high-kill shelters trying to not euthanize cats in their care. We try to help where we can, but are resources are being stretched. In the last 2 weeks alone we have taken in 2 different kittens who fell out of car engines with serious injuries, 1 kitten who was hit by a car and will likely need a leg amputated, a kitten who survived being run through a compacting dumpster (sadly her littermates did not), 2 cats whose owners were homeless and living in a car with no A/C so they surrendered the cats to protect them from this awful heat and an adult cat whose owner surrendered them to a vet office because they did not want to care for the cat's needs.
We love that we can be the organization that helps these kinds of situations, along with all the other cats that we take in. But it does stretch our supply and monetary donations, particularly at a time when both are down.
If you are so inclined, we are in need of the following supply items. Those marked with "***" are most urgent
***Frisco Scoopable Litter (available on Chewy.com)
***Pate style canned food, preferably 5.5oz cans (non seafood flavors)
Paper Towels
Meat flavored baby food (chicken or turkey)
Tube treats (Churus, Delectables, Temptations, etc)
Clay/Non-clumping litter (any brand)
Any of these items can be shipped directly to us or dropped off prior to 8pm each weekday evening so we can get them inside before we leave for the day.
If you would rather send a monetary donation, you can do that via Venmo () or PayPal ([email protected]) or mail a check made out to Princeton's.
