My granddaughter told me she wants to be a hard worker.

And I smiled.

Because I’ve spent 40 years in the trenches raising kids, climbing corporate ladders, hauling hay, and healing heartbreak. I know what hard work looks like. I also know what it costs.

So I told her what I once told her auntie:

Don’t fall for the ranch hand. Marry the rancher’s son.

Not because one’s better than the other.
But because one’s building the system and the other’s stuck inside it.

I want her to know:
🟤 Wealth doesn’t come from grind.
🟤 It comes from clarity.
🟤 From mindset shifts.
🟤 From inner work.
🟤 From investing in assets, systems, and self.

Hard work isn’t building my legacy.
Wise work is.
Unlearning survival mode is.
