URGENT!

Edited to add: She is receiving life saving care at this time. We apologize that our post made it sound any differently and hope everyone knows that we would never let a pet, even a stray, suffer and will always help how and when we can. We are familiar with Georgia law and how we can and cannot proceed in these situations, and sometimes unfortunately our hands are tied and there is only so much we can do. While life saving care is being provided, we cannot move forward with the surgical and intensive treatment she needs without owner consent. The amazing Good Samaritan that found her has asked to take over ownership if after we do our due diligence of trying to locate an owner, no one comes forward. We truly appreciate everyone that has shared and each person that has reached out to offer help for this sweet girl.

This girl was hit by a car on interstate 85 near the Martin Bridge exit today. If you recognize her or are her owner, please call our office as soon as possible as she is in desperate need of immediate medical care. She is not microchipped and was not wearing a collar. She is currently critical, but is being cared for at our Banks location.

🎄 The holiday season is here! Please take note of our modified hours during this joyful season. 🎄

Our office will be closed from 11-3 tomorrow, Thursday, December 18th, for our staff to celebrate the season together during our annual staff Christmas lunch. We will reopen at 3pm with regular business hours.

Santa is stopping by to let all the pups and kitties know if they are on the naughty or nice list! Staff will be available to take complimentary photos, plus some delicious hot chocolate will be available! We are so excited to see everyone tonight.

Our Downtown Commerce location will close at 5pm tonight to allow all staff to participate in our event. Our Banks location will remain open until 6pm.

It may not be Thanksgiving yet, but CVH was ready to get into the Christmas spirit today. The staff insisted on a real Christmas tree this year, and Wheeler Creek Christmas Tree Farm sure delivered!

The Lee family delivered and set up our tree in our lobby for us, making it such an easy yes to the staff’s request, and we were so excited to support a local, family owned business this holiday season. We all look forward to enjoying our new tree for the next month. 🎄🎅🏼

We want to give a big shoutout to CFD and all other departments on scene, as well as EMS and Commerce PD, for their swift response today. After ensuring the homeowners were safe, these brave heroes ran back in to danger to save the family’s beloved pets. Their courage is always unmatched, and today their compassion for others and for animals was too!

I would also like to personally shoutout our dedicated doctors and staff for their composure, compassion, and urgency in the midst of what felt like chaos. The team’s response to this emergency was nothing short of inspiring. From quickly coordinating emergency care for multiple critical pets, to comforting the scared animals, they each worked together for one common goal - the best possible outcome for each of the pets injured in the fire. Veterinary medicine is full of emotion and pressure, but our team handled it so well today as they each worked from a place of genuine love for the four-legged friends we get to help each day.

Thank you to everyone involved today for truly showing what it means to care. Commerce is a better place thanks to each of you that make a difference in this community every day. 🚒❤️🐾
