Rain, wind, mud, dogs nearby, treats on the ground, all the stuff most owners hope doesn’t happen when they take their dog out…
That’s exactly why we train in it.
Because your dog doesn’t just need to listen when the sun is out, the sidewalk is empty, and nothing exciting is happening.
They need to learn how to stay with you when real life shows up.
Today’s crew had Akitas, Shichons, Malinois, Labs, Heelers, Goldens, Vizslas, and Bullies — different breeds, different personalities, different challenges.
Same standard.
Calm leash manners.
Focused attention.
Impulse control.
Better choices when the world gets busy.
Good dogs aren’t made in perfect weather.
They’re built through reps, structure, clear communication, and handlers who are willing to practice in real life.
This is what training should look like.
