Daisy is safe and comfortably resting at home. I was very fortunate to be a part of this community effort to bring her home safely after 8 days on the loose!!

After a sighting on 4/13/26, I was able to arrive on the scene quickly enough to get eyes on her and confirm her location. Her sister, Lucy and dad, Adam did the rest. In fact, I lost her in some yard clutter and then was fighting the bright sunshine to get a good thermal signature. As a result, I didn't capture the moment of the reunion, but it was a very joyous one!!

Big shout out to Nikki Sheldon, Kathi Randolfi Crifasi, Christine OBrien and Jordan Clarke from Rebel Dogs Detroit for all of the outstanding support! It was a true team effort!!

When Viviana reached out to me about trying to find Gambit, I gave her my usual warning that cats are very difficult to find using a drone. I also told her what I tell most people, and that is that while I can't make any guarantees about finding a pet, I can absolutely guarantee that I won't find them if I don't try.

I am so happy that she was willing to let me try and that I can now put my "found cat count" at two 😊 I'm sure that Gambit doesn't care about my poor "cat batting average". He is just happy to be back home with his loving family 😊

Welcome back home, Gambit! Thanks for letting me find you 😊😎

Jonathan messaged me on Sunday morning after searching for hours after Milo (AKA Milo Jabarkus 😊) darted out the door when they returned home with groceries. He had last been seen going in the opposite direction of the location where I found him, but a lot can happen in 17 or so hours. I had a hunch that he might be in one of the nearby storage yards, but those can be very difficult to search, especially for a smaller dog, because their are so many places to hide. I'll admit that I got a little lucky on my final pass through the storage areas, and caught a glimpse of his small heat signature moving around near some landscaping equipment. As a bonus, he was in an area where the gate could be closed, if necessary, to secure him. As you can see in the video, he was getting pretty close to leaving the fenced in area when Jonathan and Briana arrived on the scene. Fortunately, he immediately ran to Jonathan with full tail wag. It wasn't necessary to secure him by any other means 😊

Welcome back home, Milo! I couldn't be happier about this happy ending πŸ’™πŸ˜ŠπŸ©΅

Luther and his sister, Scarla, escaped late in the evening on March 10. Scarla didn't stay lost for long. A kind person found her later that same night and took her home to keep her safe.

Luther, however, remained MIA for 4 long nights, being spotted one time not far from home, but apparently spending the entirety of his extended vacation in the luxurious comforts of the gigantic neighboring gravel pit. It was there that I found him "comfortably" snoozing at the base of a 100 foot deep trench.

When Mike and Scarla first arrived on the scene to get Luther, the terrain proved a bit too difficult for Scarla. Mike tried to get Luther's attention, but he was having none of it and took off running.

After losing him during a battery swap, I managed to find him again. This time Mike had another one of their dogs, Nova, with him, hoping that Luther would be more likely to go to her, but, once again, Luther took off and I had to find him yet again after another battery swap.

The third time finding him truly turned out the be the proverbial "charm". Luther found a very convenient hiding spot to take a well-needed rest after all of the running. Mike was able to quietly approach, and softly call his name. You can see the moment that Luther turns his head in the direction of Mike's voice and comes out of flight mode. It was amazing to see and such a relief to finally have him secured.

Welcome back home, Luther πŸ©΅πŸ’™πŸ˜ŠπŸ’™πŸ©΅

Maybe some of you had noticed my lack of activity over the past month. I was away on vacation, but I really didn't like announcing that I wasn't home, so I took calls and messages on a case by case basis and gave advice and recommendations so that those looking for help would have a the best alternative possible while I was away. My family and I had a great time, but I am really happy to get back home and to be able to start helping people find their lost pets again.

I was very happy that I was available to quickly respond when I was contacted about Bently, who had broken free with a 25 foot lead attached. Jennifer had searched for hours, but with no luck, and I would soon find out why.

Bently and Winnie had escaped together, and fortunately, Winnie was able to make it back home. Bently wasn't so lucky. He had gone just about a quarter mile from home before his lead became tangled in some very thick brush. As you can see in the video, it was so thick that I had a difficult time determining if it was him. He was so well hidden, that as Brett was approaching Bently's location, he couldn't see him until he was just 5 feet away.

Even though he had been stuck there for several hours and in 6 inches of water, he seems to be just fine, and was very excited that someone had come to his rescue.

Welcome back home, Bently πŸ’™πŸ©΅πŸ˜Š
